Used as a condenser shield on my car
I put this behind my bumper to protect the A/C condenser from getting cracked by rocks. For the most part it fit perfectly, and although they're overcharging the heck out of this product I only needed one. Good if you know you need it, if you actually need gutter guard get a bulk package.

Great Product...however, don't buy from "Life and Home"
Why not do things with integrity?Anyone who's ever bought Amerimax Gutter Guards knows you get a pack of 5 for around $11.00.The seller "Life and Home" sold them for $10.26 "each", probably knowing they would pull in several suckers who either didn't know any better, or trusted that this company would sell the products as originally packaged.Excellent product...just don't buy from "Life and Home" on Amazon...Caveat Emptor.

Don't Waste Your Time
Product quantity on their website reads fifty but they only send you one piece. Go to Home Depot, same product at a much lower price. They bait you into thinking you are receiving a larger quantity only to switch it to one piece.

Extremely pleased with product - Evaluation Upgrade May 2013
As shown on the label, these guards are not meant to be installed under the shingles. They are meant to flip over the top of the shingle thereby retaining their slightly concave shape for strength and access for cleaning if necessary.I easily completed a 75' install on rear of my home and detached garage with very minimal issues. To address the threat of wind cited by others, I used the following methods. First I overlaped each panel 1/4 inch and used a small plastic tie to connect adjoining ends to create a single run. Rather than spreading the metal clips to attach to gutter, I simply crimped gutter edge with pliers where necessary. Next, I looped a plastic tie thru each panel near the center and down around the gutter bracket to hold the system down. Finally, as suggested by several others, I inserted a stainless screw on the outer edge of panel (centered between clips) to the gutter edge to prevent them from slipping off.Although this may sound like a lot of work, after the first few panels, I was able to install system very quickly. The result was a very sturdy system that I am confident will withstand any amount of wind the average homeowner is likely to encounter. The only negative, as others have noted, is that the finished installation is slightly visible and may not be acceptable to some. For my wife and I, this was not a serious issue. But suggest you purchase a single panel or two at local Home Depot and experiment before purchasing in bulk from amazon.Heavy duty wire panels and clips appear quite durable for the money......Hurricane Sandy Update: Product held up completely during hurricane hit on Long Island. Not one panel moved.May 2013 Spring update. Upgrading my review to 5 stars.Despite Sandy and full winter season, installation still flawless, not one panel moved nor allowed leaves to enter gutter. Highly recommended when installed as stated.

These have been on my house for 3+ years - lessons learned
Many great comments here about these guards. However, my experience has been slightly different and I have different advice than some. This is based on the fact I have lots and lots of pine needles that hit my roof. I absolutely must remove the guards every 6 to 9 months and thoroughly clean and unclog the downspouts due to pine needle infiltration.1) DO NOT overlap. Overlapping the guards makes it a HUGE pain to remove the guards to clean. Which you will have to do if you have as many pine needles as I do. Not a single leaf has made it through these guards, however.2) I have to tuck the guards under the first row of shingles. If I do not, pine needles accumulate due to the sharp edges of the guard, and this starts the process of the pine needles getting under the guard.3) I did Pop-rivet some of the guards together when needed. Less ugly than plastic wire ties.4) I used the clips when the clips actually fit the gutter. In other areas, I have older gutters, with the boxed edge. For the boxed edge, I laid the gutter guard in, and let it rest on the brackets securing the gutter to the house. This causes a small gap, which, invariably, gets full of pine needles, causing some to get underneath the guard, into the gutter. I will try screwing the guard to the gutter, or crimp the boxed edge with pliers, as others have suggested. But, in my experience, the clips held just fine when they actually attach.5) These are not perfect. They are defeated by pine needles. I have been somewhat happy with them, especially after working out some of the issues. Do I regret installing them? That's hard to say, as I am not sure there is a better product out there for my situation.Good luck!
