As you’ll see from my pictures it also carries a ton of vitamins & minerals one should have on a daily basis. The ingredient quality is wonderful. Now these pictures are not shown on the Amazon description page for this product. What also isn’t shown is the fact this 6 pound jug I purchased for my teenage Son comes with ONLY 8 SERVINGS PER CONTAINER. 2 heaping scoops blended with 24 ounces of fluid to your liking gets what shows in my blender. It’s a drinkable amount with no problem. The chocolate flavor he likes. I’ve found it’s best to mix with milk as water tasted too bland. My issue is I felt I was misled in purchasing this 6 pound tub & not realizing there would be only 8 servings I’d get out of it. Since no pictures or written description mentions this, the buyer has no idea. The jug is enormous but is literally 1/2 full. I do feel there is 6 pounds in here but why waste so much plastic? At $45 a jug I’m undecided on purchasing this again. He just began taking it. After 3 uses he’s gained 4 pounds with lifting twice. Bottom line a quality product but an expensive one. I hope my information helps in your decision to purchase the jug or not.

My elderly mom started using Serious Mass a few months back to gain weight that she'd lost from a combination of medical and dental problems. She loves the taste, but was surprised by the size of this plastic jug (it's huge, but relatively lightweight, easy to open, and it comes with a big scoop). Right now, she's not able to consume enough in a day to actually add any pounds (due to her personal limitations and generally not having an appetite/finding it a chore to eat), but that is the eventual goal. In the meantime, she's using it to supplement her diet and maintain her weight so she doesn't lose any more. Her preferred recipe is adding about 1.5 to 2+ scoops in a blender to half a bottle (each) of chocolate and vanilla nutritional "plus" drinks (not sure I'm allowed to mention other product names but it starts with an E), then adding almond vanilla soy milk (80 calories/serving). Blend for a few minutes until smooth. For on-the-go or later consumption (in a cooler, on ice), pour the mixture into an empty bottle of a nutritional drink. Leave the rest in the blender in the fridge (usually lasts about 2-3 days). Since mom has been bedridden due to a back injury for the last 3 weeks, I've become a bit of a master in making this for her. She said she's ready for 3 scoops now to increase her caloric intake, so since it was a bit thicker, I topped the blender off with more almond vanilla soy milk. Also, even though the container is huge, since it has that big scoop, the powder goes rather fast (at first glance you would think it will take you forever to get through a jug, but you'd be surprised!) We re-order roughly every month and a half to two months at her current intake rate. I think it's making a difference in maintaining her weight, and she gets the psychological/emotional benefit from knowing she's boosting her calories with every sip (packs much more punch than a traditional nutritional drink). I've never tasted it myself, but it smells quite good and blends nicely (and mom can be picky!) Thanks Serious Mass! And one final tip for anyone in a similar situation : Your loved one may get sick of the whole "chocolate and vanilla" thing after awhile (my mom's not big on strawberry flavors, though she loves fresh strawberries -- but note that strawberry flavors can be more costly for nutrional supplements for some reason], so consider adding something like small cans of tomato/vegetable juice, various types of yogurt, and diced fruit cups (pears, peaches, mandarin oranges - chilled overnight, then adding some diced strawberries sprinkled with sugar and a tiny bit of water and mixing it all together) to their diet. My mom's more into texture and temperature but visual appeal does play a part! Good luck!

Llevo varios años usando este producto, con diferentes sabores y tengo que decir que cumple con lo que promete. Yo soy delgado y simplemente con alimentación me cuesta conseguir ganar kg, pero desde hace un año, y tomando sólo la mitad de la dosis que recomienda (todo me parece una barbaridad), y entrenando a diario, he ganado 5 o 6 kg de peso y músculo. Sin duda es un buen aliado para conseguir aumentar de peso, eso sí, con la prevención de tomarlo cuando entrenas, para evitar que el peso se convierta en grasa. De sabores, me gustan casi todos, chocolate, vainilla, fresa. Se disuelven bien en agua y no saben demasiado azucarados, como les pasa a otros. Además, y para mí es lo más importante, no daña el estómago. Para mi, de las mejores y a precio contenido.
