Great functionality for the price
The Songmics shoe rack arrived in a disconcertingly small box. The rack is made up of 10 shelves constructed from a tubular metal frame with a fabric shelf that spans the frame. What arrived was over 100 individual components and an instruction sheet. As an adult fan of lego I saw this as no real issue and began construction. Total build time was a leisurely 40 minutes. In each of the corners of the shelf there is a plastic bracket that the metal tubes insert into. Care has to be taken to ensure each corner is in the right orientation before inserting the tubes. I found that once they were in the tubes were pretty hard to remove if you found you made a mistake (which I did twice). On the plus side this gives me confidence that the finished unit will be pretty strong. There are also some big bonus points awarded here as I actually managed to break one of the plastic corner pieces when trying to fix a mistake and actually found the kit came with 1 extra corner piece. Not sure if this is by design or if I just lucked out but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and give the credit for including a spare. Once constructed the unit is very lightweight making it easy to pick up and move around. I have pretty large feet and wear US size 13 shoes. I did notice that the back of my shoes protrude slightly beyond the back on the shelves with certain styles of shoes. Also the spacing between the shelves is not adjustable. I have a couple of pairs of shoes that come up to my ankle and it was a bit of a squeeze to get them in. Generally though I don't see either of these things as major issues especially when taking into account the cost of the unit. I also like the fact that it is covered. I tend to have quote a lot of shoes but only really wear a few pairs on a regular basis, so some of the others that have a more specialized function tend to not get worn very often and could potentially collect dust. Overall I am really happy with this unit. It stops my shoes being in a random pile on the floor in the closet I share with my wife. The price for this unit given the number of shoes it holds it excellent and it looks better than it's price would suggest.

Doesn’t Fit All Pairs of Footwear
I have to admit, this new show rack I got recently was easy to assemble and nice looking at the same time! However, what kept me from giving my newest product at up to five stars was this one problem: It is designed to fit one piece of footwear - such as one shoe or one boot - NOT an entire pair of those aforementioned two in one. Also, make sure to update your information to - let’s just say - from 32 to 16 PAIRS of footwear. After all, one pair equals two at once. Oh well, I was able to choose my best pairs of shoes and boots instead of hoping to cram in the rest of my footwear not shown in the picture. Everything else is fine, which I don’t mind the little strings that are suppose to hold the dust cover in place at its very bottom. A 4 out of 5 stars for this good product!

Good quality. I bought two and combined to create a 13 tier rack.
First off, please note that I purchased a second rack and added three tiers from it to the first rack, and those final photos are included in my review. So, the unit showing in my photos is three rows taller than what you will receive if you only order one. It is very nice that this is an option with this unit, because I dress up for work and therefore have a lot of shoes. But with three rows added, this fits all of mine and my boyfriend’s shoes, even our outdoor hiking/golf shoes that we used to keep in the garage. You could really create as many uncovered different racks as you want to for multiple rooms or closets, but the only issue would be the cover that comes with each rack. What I ended up doing was just putting one of the covers on top of the extra tall rack, which works great and it’s not even really obvious that it does not fit the whole rack based upon it being in between the wall and the washing machine. You can’t even really tell that the cover stops three rows before the floor. This way, I can unroll the front cover to dust cover my heels that are used less often, but still have access to my every day shoes without unzipping the cover all the way. I plan to put the extra tiers in another closet for future use. The materials are pretty good quality - metal poles connected by sturdy plastic connectors with a canvas/fabric cover and shelves. I do not have any stability concerns even after adding three more tiers to the unit than what it is designed for and loading it with shoes. Obviously, a completely metal or wood rack would be more sturdy, but that would inherently be a lot more expensive. I think these materials are pretty good for the price, and have shown no signs of wear or breaking so far. I would not anticipate an issue with durability unless a kid was to crash into it or something. The individual tier shelves are fabric sheets stretched between the back and front support poles, which you can leave off of any row to create room for tall boots if needed (but I just lay mine flat on the top row). My only complaint is the fabric shelves can lead to a somewhat unstable surface for storing stiletto or other heels, as it is more like a tightly stretched hammock than a flat shelf, and they tend to fall over if they aren’t leaning on another pair, but that is obviously just aesthetics. Additionally, there is a little bit of a gap between where the fabric shelving ends and the connectors/side of the rack, so the heel of the shoes on the far left or right can fall into the gap and topple over sometimes. But, again, I really have this rack overloaded with heels, and have five pairs on almost every tier, which probably isn’t your average user. I have no issues at all with storing normal tennis shoes or flats. In summary, this shoe storage rack has really changed the appearance of our house. Before, there were shoes in closets, bedrooms, garages, by all of the doors outside, and literally just spread everywhere, and now they are stored in one nice neat place in the laundry room by the garage door, which really looks fantastic and is very functional and convenient. I can’t believe I didn’t buy something like this years ago, and I would definitely buy this again (and literally already did).

Easy to build , felt a little flimsy but for where I am storing it and what’s its purpose is it’s fine. Cover is great over it. Keeps the look neat and dust off the shoes.

The bases don't stretch far enough to fit the bases. Threw it out.

I recently purchased the 10-Tier Shoe Rack from Amazon, and I must say, it has revolutionized my shoe storage game! As someone with a penchant for collecting shoes, my collection had outgrown my closet space, leading to a constant battle with clutter. However, this shoe rack has put an end to my woes. Firstly, assembly was a breeze. The instructions were straightforward, and I had it set up in no time without any need for additional tools. The sturdy construction instills confidence in its ability to hold my extensive shoe collection without buckling under the weight. The 10 tiers provide ample space for all types of footwear, from flats to heels to sneakers. I was pleasantly surprised by how many pairs I could fit onto this rack while still keeping them easily accessible. No more digging through piles of shoes to find the right pair! What I appreciate most about this shoe rack is its space-saving design. Despite its generous capacity, it occupies minimal floor space, making it perfect for small apartments or cramped closets. It's also lightweight, so I can easily move it around if needed. Additionally, the open design allows for excellent airflow, preventing any musty odors from developing on my shoes. Plus, the sleek black finish adds a touch of elegance to my closet decor. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the 10-Tier Shoe Rack. It has transformed my chaotic shoe storage situation into a neat and organized display. If you're struggling with shoe clutter like I was, do yourself a favor and invest in this fantastic shoe rack—you won't be disappointed!
