Q: Does left mean driver side?

Q: I have a 2003 Ford F-150, my stock wiper arms have ridges and these are smooth so the wiper motor cannot move them...am I missing something?

My 1997 drive arm is exactly like this one. The hole, if you look real close, is tapered, as is the motor shaft. When you tighten the nut, the tighter it gets, the arm to shaft fit gets tighter. If the shaft is splined the arm needs to be splined also, no taper. RockAuto says this is the same arm for 2003 drivers side as my 1997 F-150.
