Hi there You need to change the settings of video recording to HD video from 640x360. Try activating that and then record. Hopefully it should resolve the issue. Beware the HD video requires more space and good connection, if the connection is not good then HD video recording may not happen.

Yes, it can be. I use it for monitoring my home and kids activities all the time.

Q: How does the cloud storage works, does it send video of motion detects. Hows battery backup, loop recording!?

It continues recording however on the viewer you can see the recorded movements and where there were no movement. I find it very easy to identify recorded movements only.
