She loves it
Our kitty loves sleeping with this little cuddle buddy. We got it for her to help comfort her after her surgery. She’s been resting and sleeping with it every day. It’s become her favorite soft pillow

Not suitable!
I really loved the idea of this for my 10 week old kitten but she was not keen at all on the heart beat! Having just left her mama the fake heart beat could not be compared to real thing! It's just SO LOUD! I'd say this snuggle kitty is more suitable to kittens who have not experienced their mamas love and for that it is like the reviews say... a reallywonderful support for them.x it costs a lot of money so for us it's a waste and now a cuddly toy awaits a child or indeed another kitten! Better than medicine
My 17-year-old brown tabby girl was experiencing hiccupy-type spasms, not all the time but enough to be concerning. Paid a few hundred dollars for all the testing to find no explanation, as her health seemed quite good. Vet said it could be stress as she/we lost our beautiful brave blind other 17-year-old male last summer, and apparently grief can go on for some time as they were extremely close. The medicine the vet prescribed was to relieve anxiety and provide some limited pain relief. I spotted the Snuggle Kitty and read good reviews that sounded like it was well worth a try first. I also had acquired the Feliway Classic calming diffuser. The snuggle kitty, which we call FK for Faux Kitty, has a battery-operated 'heartbeat' and a warming pad provided, the latter we skipped. The 'heartbeat' seemed strong but who knows? It was not rejected from the start when put on her favorite chair, a good sign, but took a day or two for real kitty to get right next to faux kitty. Now it and the calming diffuser are staples in the main room and there's been no need to use the prescribed medicine. The hiccupy spasms are not all gone but I can see she's much happier and even playful, and when the hiccupy things occur I put her next to me or on my lap and either gently massage the back of her neck and her back, or simply apply light pressure on her back or side with my palm for 5 or 10 minutes. Both actions ease the spasms away but I don't think we'd have gotten to that point without the help of the Snuggle Kitty heartbeat and the calming diffuser. Tip: We chose the running-all-the-time option which does use the batteries faster but some of even the cheaper ones last quite awhile. Need to experiment with them but be sure to always have some handy as having even the faux 'heartbeat' stop for too long could be disconcerting to real kitty. Just touch it each day to feel if it's working. Also- the plastic heart has two tiny screws which are a pain to remove and put back in each time the 2 AAA batteries need changing. The two pieces of red plastic actually fit together snugly without the screws.

Nice, but . . .
My little boy turns away from it, and he hasn't touched it on his own while it's been right there waiting for him. I got another smaller cuddler for him that he wants nothing to do with either. I got him from a neighbor who'd just moved to the city. He was already 7 y.o. and had been a barn cat who survived on wht he killed, so I basically had to domesticate him. He doesn't take to certain toys and such the way most cats do, but he is the sweetest loverboy. He's now 16, so I try to find new things for him, but this and the other toy I'll have to return and hope to find something he WILL take interest in. It IS really soft and cute. It would be good if the company combined a lifelike purr as a combo with the heartbeat, like another company has. That company's product doesn't have good ratings, though, because the purr isn't authentic enough. Don't make any decision based on this review. I doubt many have a cat with a similar background that affected him in ways it shouldn't have.

My kitten's best friend
Introduction: I intern at a veterinary clinic and was the only person able to care for a neonatal kitten that was found by a busy road. The kitten was freshly born, completely alone, and weighed less than 2oz. Many thought he wouldn't make it, but my coworkers and I did everything to support his health, which included purchasing this product for him. ..Now I think he loves it more than he loves me!Contents: The product came with everything described but like another reviewer, I didn't see anything that hinted at a hidden nipple/bottle insert in the toy. The package came undamaged.Use: The artificial heartbeat was easy enough to use and I left it on the 24 hour setting so he would never feel alone. I really didn't think he would take to it as much as he did, but he REALLY DID! Every time I looked into his space, he was snuggling by the cat. The heartbeat is nice because it provides a sound and vibration. I slept closely to the cat and the noise didn't disturb my sleep. I only used the heat pad once since I have him on a separate heat pad, so I can only comment that the one time I used it it worked well and produced the same amount of heat as my heat pad.Problems: A little over 1 week after having the heart on 24 hours, it stopped working. Of course, I changed the batteries thinking that was the obvious problem. However, changing the batteries didn't fix the issue and the heart stopped working. At this point, I thought this purchase was a bust since I felt like I had paid 40 dollars for a stuffed toy. However, looking at how much he just loves the cat, I believe he may have bonded with it despite it not having a heartbeat. He still cuddles with it and it is a staple for moving him between home and clinic. He needs his little buddy and loves it so much. **I have contacted the seller in hopes to replace the heartbeat component. After I have received a replacement, I will update my review!UPDATE: The company was very easy to reach out to and contact about the broken heartbeat component. I received a replacement last week, which operates perfectly so far, and they also provided more heat packs which I thought was so thoughtful! My little guy is almost 7 weeks old and now he play fights with it all the time. Now that he's grown, I only use the heartbeat component when he is alone for long periods of time so he doesn't feel alone.
