Unbeatable Value
These are infinitely better than expensive grid tie arrays. Easy install just plug and play. Ive actually got 700 watts up in series-parallel. My roof pitch faces east and west so I have 3 to catch the morning sun and 4 to catch the afternoon sun. Working great the voltage is about maxed out around noon in the summer but I think the mppt keeps it low enough. Got it hooked up to a 400ah battery. Powers a 6000btu window ac all day or a 500 watt space heater for several hours a day in winter. Also have a charging station and wifi it runs. Electric bill is $100 less per month. The mppt is really great. It will charge even on the cloudiest days. Very handy during 2 power outages already. For the money the value is unbeatable.

Great entry to mid level solar kit
Renogy, the name in serious solar! Renogy was my gateway into hobby solar. I started with this 400 watt kit as an entry level, but it seriously was more than I expected. My batteries charge quickly and are very happy. It's currently deployed in a garden shed for tool battery charging and for exterior lights. Installation was easy. Setup was a breeze. The app leaves a little more to be desired but it's informative and easy to use. The built in functionality will keep you engaged. With little sun exposure on cloudy days, these small panels are rocking and still providing enough amps to keep the batteries happy. The cables included in this kit are of high quality. Mounting the controller was easy. The kit came with temp sensor and Bluetooth module which is great. When the panels are completely exposed to the sun, I taken my batteries from nearly dead to full charge in a few hours while using them for gardening. If you're looking for a hobby system for home use, a small system for off-grid applications, look no further! This is your last stop.

Great product
They have saved us so much, we use them every time we go to our land and they charge our rv... we have had them for 5 years now and we only had to fix one wire connector to one pannle when we pulled it a little to far when moving them. Great product, id buy again.

Great for the money
Installed on a trailer roof to keep battery charged and inverter working. Works great but solar panels aren’t great quality but do work fine. Just very light

Reliable, sturdy
This is my second purchase of these panels, the first a year ago. They are super easy to install on an RV. The panels and mounting brackets are set up for mounting 16", 24", and a couple of other spans on center. The charger now comes with mounting feet. The panel cables are about 12' long, and the battery charging cables are 6'. With these two units, I have no problem keeping 3 200Ah batteries charged after running AC all night for 12 hours. Pick up a tube of 100% silicon and an exterior junction box if you don't have an entry point through your roof.

Shockingly horrible Amazon service. Inappropriate parts of kit.
First I want to make it clear that the panels and charge controller work fine. I have bought the same panels and controller before and they have worked without issues for several years now.My biggest problem and irritation are.1. The cables pictured are color coded, the cables received are all black. Making it very likely that the cables could be installed in reverse order, damaging equipment in the process.2. The adapters that come with the kit to connect the solar panels together can’t be used to connect all 4 panels together, they don’t have any extra cable length. Mounting the panels side by side the cables don’t reach. I had to order a separate cable to get all the panels to work.3. It comes with a 10 AMP fuse that is only good for 1 panel. If you put the fuse in line with the main cable the fuse will instantly fail.4. I called Amazon to get a replacement fuse, I was told that the only thing that they could do for me is issue a refund for the whole kit after they receive it. Seriously??!!! After hours of installation they expect you to remove everything and send it back!! What a joke.A kit is supposed to come with everything needed for a successful installation. This kit fails short of that expectation. You don’t get what is pictured and expected. The fuse is underrated for the application. The adapters can’t be combined as expected.Amazon expectations that if something fails or is defective you have to send everything back, wait for the item to arrive and hopefully Amazon approves your refund is with out a doubt the worst policy a company can have.Be warned, if something fails you are on your own, you either pay for it out of your pocket or order a whole new kit, take the parts that fail and send everything back.Good luck, you will need it.

I get 1/3 the capacity even on a cloudy day!
On a cloudy day I still get over 100 watts of charging from this 400 watt system, anywhere from 127 to 160 watts, yes, even on a cloudy day. No one told me that would happen! Works well, except it shows the temperature as 77 degrees all of the time. It would be nice if it would not try to charge my lithium 100 Ah batteries when it is too cold out. Works well otherwise. People say your dead when the sun doesn't shine - not true! I installed these flat on my cargo trailer roof (not even angled to the sun) and this is very adequate to charge and run my tools. Charging one M18 battery takes 45 watts, so I can charge up 2 at a time easy peasy without even draining the 100 Ah main batteries even on a cloudy day! I have the 3000 watt Renogy inverter with this, and can run my air compressor for an hour off those. I should get another 100 Ah battery, as the two struggle to start the compressor, but anyway, on a sunny day it charges those 2 100 Ah lithium batteries from 11V right back up to 14V after using my air compressor for a while. I've run my shop vac, 6 inch finish orbital sander, LED lights, etc. for as long as I've needed to no problem. In a camper, along with 3 100 Ah batteries, this might even keep you in electric hot water. I haven't tried that, not yet, but if you made toast and a pot of coffee in the morning, this would charge your main batteries back up even on a cloudy day!
