The Snow Queen: No. 1 (Templar's Collectors Classics Series)

i bought this for my 8 year old daughter and she loves this book with passion. As well as the narrative/storyline she has expressed her delight at the illustrations and i quote " oh mum the illustrations are wonderful. See how they are using personification with this animal"!! i have also read this book with my daughter and i agree it is a fantastic storyline with brilliant illustrations. She will read this book for years to come.

Wonderful illustrations!

I was looking for a Christmas present for my 5 year old god-daughter & bought this on the basis of previous reviews. I was not disappointed as it is indeed a beautiful book with the most exquisite illustrations.Certainly a book to treasure & one that should be almost as appealing to adults who are reading the story to or with a child.

Beautiful book ,wonderful illustrations

Many of us know The Snow Queen-in itself, one of Andersen's most dramatic stories. This version, brought out by the excellent Templar, is illustrated by a young and very fine Ukrainian illustrator, Vladyslav Yerko. He appears to specialize in minute details which combine to create an atmosphere which is almost tangible-this book is full of cold and frostiness ! This would make a wonderful present to someone of virtually any age. And I'm waiting with baited breath for more English-language books containing Yerko pictures.

The pictures in this book are beautiful and I love that there is a "search" at the end of the book for various items in the pictures. I am looking forward to reading this to my daughter on the run up to Christmas.

A long version of the story, which is very interesting to read, and beautiful illustrations!

Gloriously beautiful book to pore over time and time again.

Beautiful edition of all time favourite classic story by Andersen. MRP is Rs.599, got it at Rs.539 and free delivery. A must have in kids library and can easily be re-read as one of the winter/Christmas stories.
