Very soft and machine washable! I bought this for my daughter and it has lasted years! Worth the money and it is so cute.

A fun gift for a kid (or adult) who loves penguins, adorable and soft, good size for my eight year old to lay on. Have had it for a few months and is still in excellent condition.

I want to clarify that I bought this for a friend and she does NOT use this as a pillow. She uses it more as a stuffy. Her cat sure uses it as a pillow sometimes tho, and it's still retained a decent shape. I've felt it when I opened the package and it's super soft and fluffy! As far as I know it still is years later!

Beware - this may start a pillow pet craze in your house! We now have four total and more have been requested! If you haven't seen these before, this is a plush pillow that is about the size of a couch throw pillow. When laid out, the pillow is square with the penguin head sticking off one side. There is a velcro strap which when the pillow is folded in half keeps it that way. It's very cleverly designed with a cover to close over the hooks so that the velcro doesn't scratch the child. The quality of the original pillow pets is great. This is a very popular toy, so there are many imitators - this is not the original pillow pet, this is a "My Pillow Pet", however my daughter has an original pillow pet and this one has actually held up better! The fur is very soft. My son got this one for Christmas last year (he was 5) its still a favorite and still in great condition despite daily play. The extra bonus on these is how great they are for traveling! We always take a pillow pet with us when we travel. The kids can use them to sleep on in the car or on the plane and they serve a dual purpose of having a stuffed animal and a pillow. They now make a miniature companion to this one that my kids have been asking for for Christmas, a baby penguin pillow pet. My Pillow Pets Playful Penguin - Small (Black And White) These are much smaller than the original pillow pet, more of a stuffed animal than a pillow, I recommend getting the original size if the child you are buying it for doesn't have one already.

I've wanted a pillow pet for a while now because I always thought they were pretty adorable. My sister has the unicorn one and I ended up nabbing him for a while before I bought my own. I thought the penguin was the cutest one of the bunch, so I went with him. :D I've named him Pippin, courtesy of my best friend! I have to admit that even though I'm 23, I still find these guys to be the cutest things ever. I don't think you can put an age on having one of them, because they're just so darn adorable. I mean, what's not to love? You get a great pillow in the perfect size AND he doubles as a cute stuffed animal! XD Pippin helps me in many ways, from providing comfort on bad days to propping up my laptop or a book I'm reading. Being super soft and very cuddly, he makes an excellent pillow to snuggle with at night, especially since the weather is starting to get cold now where I live. All in all, it was a great purchase! Good price, they make great pillows, they're just the right size to sleep on, and they double as a cute stuffed animal when you stand them up. The strap is even comfy too, since it comes with a little flap over the velcro part to keep it from scratching you. I totally recommend getting one of these guys! To anyone thinking about getting one--get one! You won't regret it! <3

This was a hit with my 3 year old granddaughter, she carries it around all day. My daughter had one as a child. Love that it’s machine washable. The Velcro strap is difficult for a small child to use. I think the fur shed too much at first but she adores it.
