Alternative pandemic recovery?
I read Nora Roberts to relax, and because, in my opinion, she is an extremely good writer. When I read criticism of her writing, I sometimes think they just don't realise what she is about. In the first book of this trilogy written in 2017, I found she was writing about a global pandemic! Precience or what? In Of Blood and Bone she moves on 13 years, and develops the characters we met in Year One. I love books featuring sorcery and magic, and sometimes wonder if Nora Roberts is wiccan , she seems to know her subject so well. Thorough research perhaps! I like a hero - Jack Reacher's my No. 1, but a 15 year old girl is quite acceptable. And what's not to love about a spirit owl, wolf and winged unicorn?

Amazing
I loved this book! NR keeps the steam up, in this the second book of the seriesWhat impressed me most is that this basically is a "Hero's Journey". And I tend to hate Hero's Journeys. But this one is so well written with such great characters that I have to moderate my stance to "I hate most Hero's Journeys, but not all"Some nitpicking: NR could have researched guns and what a post apocalyptic society would look like a bit more, but still not a major problem and the book is highly enjoyable anyway!

Boring and childish
Still reading this after a few months and I'm finding it a slog. It's quite childish, even more than the One which at least had some dark edges. Clearly I'm not the target market but even my daughter found it poor. Will try to finish but probably want bother with any follow up in the series.

Not great
Not nearly as good as Iโd hoped. I think Nora was in a rush writing this as it just didnโt flow. Very wishy washy in parts and I felt that Fallon was akin to a female Harry Potter rather than a strong female warrior, here to save the world.A lot of teenage sexist remarks too,( lads and girls breasts) not good!As for the taking down of Nuclear Powers - hogwash!
