ACC Art Books Watchmakers: The Masters of Horology

This was a gift for a former Air Force colleague who recently graduated from a prestigious 2 year watch repair school gaining certification to repair watches valued in the tens of $1000’s. He was excited to add this book to his home office library!

This is a wonderfully produced book about the world's pre-eminent, independent, master watchmakers. Superb macro pictures of their amazing creations and an insight into their thought processes and creative inspiration. Anyone looking for detailed specifications and engineering/production methods will be disappointed. This is an art book which showcases their brilliance. I only wish I'd seen the exhibition to which this book served as a guide. It's a glossy production you can dip in and out of and to drool over the time pieces most of us will never be able to afford. Highly recommended to those who wish to gaze upon high horology but not to those looking for specific information about how they are manufactured.

Large heavy, beautiful coffee table book. Nice to just look at the beautiful photos as it is to read about the watch making genius’s inside. Highly recommended

This book is the catalog for a traveling exhibit of independent maker watches which are for sale. This book covers each maker and shows examples of their work. The watches are well photographed with most of the photos of the watches as oppsoed to artsy sunrises some pseudo watch books have used to fill space. If intermediate priced ( like a medium range sports car) independent maker watches are of interest this is very good book and for what it is is reasonable well priced.
