I gave this sunscreen a real workout for its first use: a week of hiking in full, 80+ degree sunshine at high altitudes in and around Salt Lake City. We were out in full sun for 8+ hours per day while being very active. I'd apply EltaMD before we left the house and re-apply mid-day. I am pretty pale because I live in Seattle where we get a lot of gray days and a limited sunny season, so I was really pushing it. EltaMD worked perfectly. It is easy to apply and not super greasy. It blends into your skin really well so no one can tell you're wearing any kind of lotion or tinted sunscreen. The fragrance is almost non-existent so you don't smell like you're wearing sunscreen. And it was super effective: ZERO sunburn - not even some mild red or pink tones after all that sunshine. EltaMD worked exactly as I hoped. It's also very moisturizing, which was important because SLC is a very dry climate. And I didn't have any skin reactions to the sunscreen - no breaking out or anything like that.

I have been using this as a face sunscreen for 5 years. I have sensitive skin and need a protective barrier due to using vitamin A on my face every night. This moisturizes and wears under my make up well. I feel protected throughout the day and if I am going to be out in the sun I reapply to make sure it is still protecting. My dermatologist recommended this and I always pick it after trying other sunscreens.

I have used EltaMD sunscreen since I had a dermatologist procedure. It is a 'vanishing' sunscreen that isn't visible on skin if you massage it into the areas you apply it to. I haven't had a sun burn since I've been using. It is odorless, non irritating, and easy to apply. If you sweat or swim while using it you should reapply ever 90 minutes. In my experience it doesn't irritate my eyes if some sweat gets in then. I have noticed no skin irritation (I have very sensitive skin). Another factor is it doesn't take much to get good sun blocking so despite initial cost it is a good value.

Feels really nice on the skin. It’s the only sunscreen that I can tolerate on my hands, without wanting to wash it off immediately. I do wish it came in a smaller size. I like to reapply after I wash my hands during the day, so a purse sized option would be great.

A new favorite! This was recommended to me by my dermatologist and it works great! It goes on smooth and doesn't make your face look like a mime like some zinc sunblocks now do. It lasts a long time and hasn't clogged my pours at all! I'm a repeat buyer!

It's a light lotion, more like a moisturizer than a typical sunscreen (which tend to be thick and chalky). My daughter has dry, sensitive skin and occasional bouts of eczema , and this sunscreen (along with ZenMed) is one she can use with no problem. It is a good size, so she can use it on her face and arms and legs daily, and it lasts for a long time. I agree with other reviewers - the pump stopped working after some time, and the bottle was still mostly full. If not for the flimsy pump, I would rate this 5 stars.

I have been using this product for more than two years now daily and it lasts for 4 months. No white casts and it fully protects the skin under the extreme weather temperature in UAE. Highly recommend this sunscreen.
