I have been trying to get away from plastics for years so I started buying ceramic dishes. I find out that even in certified lead-free/cadmium free etc paints/glazes that there are legal amounts that can be put into those anyway, even with certification. So I said screw it, and just went all in on doing glass for everything. I get 99% of my kitchen and bedroom stuff from Ikea but their glass dishes are lacking, they mainly have ceramics. I have a glass pitcher (also made in France) from them and a few others.Anyway point is, I'm writing this review for anyone who like me, wants to get away from plastic but also other chemicals lurking in things we assumed were safer just by not being plastic (sigh...). Duralex seems to pride themself on making simple, inert, nonreactive glass, so I went with them. And I'm sure with the stricter EU regulations that Duralex is legit better to eat/drink off of.Oh and we ordered this kid set for 2 adults, we are trying to lose weight/portion control and the plates and bowls are good size. The cups are definitely small (think salt/pepper shaker) size, but they will be good for espressos, teas etc. I ordered a picardie set of the 500mL cups (maybe 600mL) separately so we could have large glasses for water. Anyway, hope my perspective helped anyone make a decision.***There are definitely cheaper American made alternatives, but personally, I always prefer European or Japanese products for the superior quality/longevity (no offence intended to anyone).***

I bought these for use with my 3 children. I read many reviews and decided to get these. I wanted something non toxic that didn't break my bank. I hoped they were as strong and break resistant as they claimed. When I got them, they were wrapped so thick with bubble wrap my first thought was " oh boy,my kids are going to demolish these things" I wanted to see how easy they would break so I took one of the cups, grit my teeth and dropped it onto our laminate wood floor.It was scary but fun especially when it didn't break! So I held it a little higher about 3ft and dropped it, it didn't break. I tried the same process with the bowls dropping them on the base and edges, nothing broke. I gave a glass to my 2yr old and told her to drop it, she was so confused but quickly smiled and let it go. Later she shoved a bowl and a cup off the sofa, the bowl hit the floor first then the cup smashed into the bowl, still no breaks chips or cracks! These dishes are cool and fun to drop! I'll be purchasing the adult sized versions.

Great quality. The only downside is that unlike other toddlers plates, these do not have divisions or edges, so toddler has to help piking up the food and putting on the fork with the hand (they can’t use knifes ). Anyway, great to get rid of plastic.

I own a Montessori Preschool and needed these for my kids. Some of the product came a little damaged but Amazon Team and the Seller were here to help and agreed to replace some of them. I really liked the quality. They are very tiny and small but I was looking for something that small since I wanted to use them for children aged 15months - 3 yrs old. And these are perfect! In France, schools are using DURALEX because it's safe and durable. I just got them recently so I can't really tell about the durability but I think it will be fine. I will update if anything happens. Also, even if it's dishwasher safe, I would suggest you to handwash your dishes. Dishwasher is not safe for kids products even for plastics. However, I am very satisfied with the product and the customer service. It's just a perfect fit for my preschool! I recommend.

Nice dish set for 4-7 year olds but unfortunately a plate was cracked and a bowl had debris baked in it (see photos). Outside cardboard packaging was fine, bubble wrapped nicely. Returning it for another set; I still like these dishes.

My son dropped a bowl from this set on our concrete floor in the basement and it was perfectly fine. Not even a chip or crack. My son loves his plates and cups that are just like an adults. Great for Montessori toddlers. Just the right size for his 2.5 year old hands and appetite.

We love this set so much!!! My only complaint is the cups are tiny!! I understand they are for children but I was not expecting such small cups. That said we will also be buying regular size cups from the same brand. They arrived in perfect condition, no chips, cracks, or issues at all. We usually handwash our dishes but I have not noticed any issues with them in the dishwasher either.

This is a great product for anyone following the Montessori method with their kids. Durable glass dishes to teach your little ones how to set the table and care for their dishes. The seller was super nice and communicative. Highly recommended!
