In 1968, Leisure Group of Los Angeles, California bought the S. L. Allen Company. Leisure Group continued to produce flexible flyers in Medina, Ohio. In 1973, a group of private investors bought Leisure Group's toy division and started manufacturing the sleds under the name "Blazon Flexible Flyer" in West Point, Mississippi. In 1993, Roadmaster purchased the rights to production and moved production to Olney, Illinois, and in 1998, production was moved to China. As of 2012, Flexible Flyers are mostly made in China and some are made in South Paris, Maine4 by Paricon, Inc.

Not in the state of Washington or California. Section 8-E Paragraph 23.6 “tools used for recreational purposes shall not used in a decorative manor unless tested for proper safety perimeters.” Technically just for asking that question in those states can merit a full investigation that requires you to submit to a legal search of all your hard drives and know email addresses.

You know, I don't own this (I'm also a shopper), but from the reviews it almost seems like some people got a Chinese counterfeit and others got the made in the USA version. I also remember this being an issue when I was looking into getting a Rainbow Loom on Amazon for my daughter.

The sleds are manufactured in 42”, 48”, 54” & 60” sizes. The most popular is a 48” sled. Limited availability on sizes depending on the time of year.
