I recently lost my music library and have to rip 800+ CDs... The cable that came with my external cd-rom drive was too short to comfortably let me use my laptop on the couch with the drive on the coffee table. This cable fit the bill perfectly. Not a cheap, thin job. This has some heft to it. Good solid connectors don't work loose or fall out of the drive or the laptop. No problems, ripping, either. Using Exact Audio Copy, I haven't experienced one data transfer problem. A solid purchase from a company with a history of providing all types of quality cables.
