BC-1X Bass Compressor Guitar Pedal (BC-1X), Green

This compression pedal made all the difference in the world in the quality and cleanliness of the sound put out by my ESP LTD bass guitar. Love them both.

Love this Pedal! For a long time I have always used a Boss Bass Overdrive ODB-3 pedal as my go to pedal. I used the ODB-3 as more of a driver with barely any distortion added and I would keep it on at all times. NOW, I have this awesome BB-1X Bass Driver to handle that so it is now my go to, always on, pedal. Again, I just use a tiny bit of the drive but man, it sounds way better, warmer and fatter than using the old Bass Overdrive as a subtle driver pedal. So now I use my ODB-3 after the BB-1X in my pedal chain for when I want to kick it on and add some nasty distortion to the mix. The line out is also a nice bonus if needed. I highly recommend the BB-1X. And still recommend the ODB-3 for some chunky distortion.

If you play bass, or any guitar for that matter... You're gonna need one of these. Any good bass player should have a compressor. Not to mention, it's BOSS; what else needs to be said? Studio grade compressor in a box you turn on and off with your foot for crying out loud!

Great sound -- the mix of regular bass tone and the overdrive makes for a beautiful full tone. Really happy overall with this -- when I need that overdrive/punchy sound, I can turn this one and not lose the bottom end thickness.Battery goes fast -- recommend you remove battery between uses if you'll be stowing it for a few days.

Love the pedal. Smooths out the sound. I read that compressors generally produce noise, but I'm not hearing any.Shipment from Japan to the US was five days. Outstanding.

Everything was fine but it was a hassle getting it. It passed through the post office. I had to queue for 2 hrs before i could get the package. I expected it to be delivered at home.

I love this pedal! The DRIVE knob covers a lot of territory from clean but meaty with extra heft, to a mild growl with punch and definition, to a fuzz-laden distortion with clarity. The BLEND knob works in tandem with the DRIVE to sculpt a good balance between the effected tone and the original. The LOW, HIGH and LEVEL knobs are further useful in fine tuning the sound. I like that I can have driven tones without losing bottom end and with a good deal of control. I like tones with a moderate amount of drive the best and I find this pedal excels at that! The balanced line out is certainly a plus! It's built tough and it's been a great choice for me!

I've recently played T-Rex Moller 2, Ibanez DS9B Tube Screamer, Catalinbread SFT Ampeg Amp Emulation, EBS, Microtubes, Fulltone overdrive and a few other no-names. This Boss BB1X would rate pretty high on the list.I'm not usually into bass distortion but appreciate a great overdrive.This pedal can get pretty crunch by cranking the drive. I like the blend option as well. Overall, great pedal, built like a tank, great tones and a good value. I'd highly recommend this pedal.
