C-1642 Black Hardshell Tenor Ukulele Case

I bought this case after trying out another one. The other case was flimsy. I had bought this one for my concert uke, and it was perfect. My Tenor Ibanez fits like a tight glove in it. My Ibanez has a preamp on it, and I quickly realized that the tight fit was turning on the preamp, and killing my batteries. So, I pull out the batteries when I store it, or carry it out. I think this could be a problem with many cases carrying a preamp, acoustic/electric uke. That is my only complaint. This is a very sturdy, professional case.

This a a nice looking, well made, fairly priced case.However, if you have a sensitive nose like I doyou should be forewarned. I used quite a bit of baking soda sprinkled liberally on the inside fabric liner. Then vacuumed it out and repeated until the smell lessened considerably. And this was after airing it out on dry sunny day with the case wide open. But I was willing to do it, because it’s beautiful.

The 28 7/8" x 11" x 5" case was shipped by Amazon in a very large 36" x 22" x 13" cardboard box. The was no padding. The case was bare except for a plastic bag. The case did not appear to be damaged.The case appears to be very sturdy and the latches are solid.There is a terrible odor in the case. I allowed it to air for a day and the odor was less. After closing the case for a few hours, the odor returned. My Ukulele is a Kala Ka-SRT-CTG-E. The case is extremely snug around the body. I don't think the case will accomidate a strap button without cutting into the padding. There is over an inch of space between the headstock and the end of the case. The space between my tuning knobs and the padding is about 1/4" on one side and ¾" on the other side.There is a small ripple in the material covering the case.This case looks nice and appears to be sturdy. The odor and the poor fit makes it unusable for me.

I hand build custom ukuleles. I recently purchased this case to carry one of my instruments to Hawaii for an international Ukulele festival. Does not fit an 8-string ukuleleThis is an EXCELLENT case. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my 8-string Ukulele. I've tried both of mine: a Lanikai SOT-8EK and a Lanikai LU-8E.It seems to fit the body just fine. But the headpiece, with its additional four tuners simply makes it impossible to begin to fit.

Oh man! I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of this ukulele case. My instrument (a new Martin tenor uke) fit like the proverbial "bug-in-a-rug." So glad I went with the hard shell case, not just the gig bag. This beautiful case provides excellent protection for an amazingly reasonable price. Do not hesitate. Snag one! You (like me) will never regret it!

This case was the perfect solution to protect my solid wood tenor ukulele when storing and transporting. The case is also quite useful in supporting humidification during the dry winter season. It is reasonably priced and well made. I am very pleased with this case and I recommend it to my friends.

I was so disappointed they initially sent me a concert size by mistake. CS straightened it all out quickly. I got the right case two days later. It's perfect. Tenor fits like a glove. Love this case.
