These are fantastic for curtains. They are 100% cotton, and are the correct weight (6oz), which is key if you plan to bleach them. The poly blends don't bleach well. I had these bleached to white in only 2 hours! I filled my washer 3/4 of the way with warm water, and added an entire 81oz bottle of bleach. I would occasionally stir it with a wooden stick, and also run the agitator to make sure the fabric bleached uniformly. After only 2 hours, they were beautiful and white! I drained the bleach water, ran a rinse cycle with a cup of hydrogen peroxide, then ran a full wash cycle with a little detergent and fabric softener. Voila!! Perfection! Now the real challenge...making them look nice on my windows!!

Surprisingly high quality cloth and indeed in one single huge piece - no seams! I washed it to intentionally shrink and texturize it for use as a photography backdrop. Love the results!

I ordered 3 packs of 9x12 Melca drop cloths for covering 2 sofas and 1 chair in my family room. Those furnitures are old, mismatched, and ugly but they are comfy. I hate to throw them away so I decided to give Melca drop cloths a try. I am glad I made the right purchase. The items arrived one day earlier, which is a nice surprise. The drop cloth looks like high quality linen. Since it is seamless, odorless, and soft, I drape it over my sofas right away without washing. It is very easy to work with and I finished making slipcovers for 2 sofas and 1 chair in 2 days without sewing. My sofas are very big but the 9x12 drop cloth is big enough to cover it. For the chair, I trimmed down a 3x12 trip. My husband, who is overseas, is very pleased when I sent him those pictures. It saves us money to buy new furniture. I am glad I ordered 3 instead 1 when it showed only 9 left in stock. Now it is out of stock.

Yes, to all the painters out there it is indeed a drop cloth, and a very good quality one to boot. But to all us sewers, crafters, and DIY-ers, it's oh so much more. It's a unique pair of farmhouse-style curtains, a table runner, a furniture cover, a front door wreath, a teepee for the kiddos, and about a gazillion other things limited only by your imagination. You can sew it, paint on it, even glue things to it. It's amazing. And its affordable. Doesn't get much better than that! This particular drop cloth met all my hopeful expectations and then some. It's well weaved, strong, even colored, and has a very nice heft to it. Not too heavy but not so light that it feels (and looks) cheap. And NO seams anywhere but on the edges - BIG bonus points for that. I bought only one because I wanted to see its quality (I'm picky) - and now I plan to buy at least a couple more from these same folks. That should tell you all you need to know about how much I like it. Recommend!!
