Buyer beware!
This gate opener is awful.1. Difficult installation with poorly written instructions.2. The gate will not stop if you want to walk out to the street to take out garbage cans or check your mail, you have to let it open all the way.3. It is very difficult to open the gate if the power goes out. There is no release for the chain. You have to get the crank that comes with it and manually open it by winding the chain. It takes FOREVER! (Very windy area = power outages now and then = late for work!)4. Gate opener remotes only work if you are extremely close to the box and nothing can be in the way such as a tree. I have to pull into the beginning of the driveway before it will work.5. We called the company to ask about the receiver range and were told to call a different company to buy their receiver in order to extend the range. Now how is a company going to tell you to call their competition in order to fix their range issues? That makes absolutely no sense. We had an Eagle brand gate opener before and it needed to be replaced after many years of use. In my opinion, their quality has gone down significantly. And for their service techs to recommend for us to spend even more money on another company's receiver is ridiculous.

Daily Maintenance
This ease of use unit just became a bigger hassle. So the machine works fairly well, there's a delay on the opening and closing, and there's a distance issue that might be a problem for some users. The biggest complaint is that the EG360 photo eye that is provided in order to comply with safety code UL 325 is completely useless, it has a working radius of less than 2mm. Keep in mind that without the photo eye the entire thing will not work. I had a post about a half foot away in concrete, and any passing from vehicles would cause it to misalign daily. The solution from tech support was to mount it separately 3ft away. I have never seen that before, and would create a visual eye sore. Besides the fact that the wire that comes with the photo eye is less than 1ft.Currently I cut out a silicone gel pad to stabilize it, but it still requires a daily smacking to lift it up less than the thickness of a dime. I know, I've measured. Another brand of photo eye is preferred as I've seen others who replaced their original unit with the Eagle-1 and switched back to their original photo eye device. Cheaper priced photo eyes that are less than $100 prove just as incompetent. Though the EG360 is sold for more than $120.For something that is suppose to make entering and exiting simpler, it has proved to be vastly inefficient and more trouble than the $900 price tag.

Easy to follow instructions.🤓 Auto close 🥰
This gate opener is extremely excellent for the price. We replaced our other different brand that was installed 10yrs ago since the motor burned out and by using previous wiring we didn't need to hire no one. Instructions are very well explained. This one has the option of Eagle Eye (pull up and opens) which is great and automatically closes after a few seconds by itself, no more having to be clicking the control repeatedly which was a headache with the old gate operator. Its 100% recommend
