I was pretty much having to redo or touch up my nails daily with this. It's a shame because it is just a true pitch black color and could be a one coat black but better with two coats. Just not worth it for how much it chipped and peeled compared to other polish. Usually love Essie brand so this is definitely a huge let down. Used "here to stay" base coat and "gel-setter" top coat along with it which I usually don't have many problems with.

This was a great buy. I like Essie, and the black color was awesome. I would recommend.

This nail polish probably deserves a lower rating but I do not like it. It smudges easy, takes too long to dry and stains your fingernails. I wasted a lot of nail polish remover just to get it off and there’s still parts of it under my nails and around my nail bed. I’m gonna buy OPI’s products next time.

The payoff, shine and quick dry all make this brand my go-to for polish. The price is reasonable and I also appreciate that the product is cruelty-free.

Took over an hour to dry and ended up with little air bubbles all over. It just wouldn’t dry- and it would get pushed around in clumps if I accidentally brushed it lightly with my finger. The end result looked awful and bumpy. It doesn’t get opaque with two coats, and it is just a shade lighter than true black. Compare this to other brands that can apply jet black in one coat and dry quicker. I recommend Cirque colors black, unfortunately it’s not available on amazon right now. I do like Essie color polishes and have enjoyed the vegan formula before- I know it can be thicker more transparent and take longer to dry. But the results were horrible.
