Jandy R0693900 TruClear Salt Cell Assembly, Black

This item was a perfect fit for my system and was a great OEM solution to replace the prior salt cell we had. After installing it using the process shown, the "Check Cell" error went away on my system. The entire process took less than five minutes. I can't believe I used to pay a few hundred dollars to have a new salt cell installed for our system. After using this and learning more about my pool equipment, I am going to start doing all the maintenance work myself.

This product stopped producing chlorine after just a few months of use. I'm pretty sure it is a poorly refurbished part. The salt cell relies on a coating for the plates. My guess is that this seller is able to lightly recoat the plates of the cell, but the coating quickly wears off and the cell stops producing chlorine. It is not worth the money given how quickly the product wears out. I would recommend buying the part directly from Jandy to avoid sellers like this that appear to be taking advantage of customers with dishonest or misleading marketing.
