Traditionally sized rice bowls
I was in search for small bowls that are similar to what I used to serve steamed rice in Japan. This is exactly what I was looking for! Each of 8 bowls have unique patterns inside and out. While some of the bold color print lack “hand painted” feel to it because of the perfectly symmetric design, at this price point, I am very pleased with the product. Similar sets are sold for a lot more in my local gift shop. Great casual set to serve rice, desserts and other small dish entries.

Well made Beautiful bowls excellent for gifts
These are absolutely beautiful bowls. They feel incredibly smooth to the touch and are quite durable. They are the perfect thickness to be sturdy but still appear delicate. I love that each one is different because it allows everyone in my family to have their own personal favorite. The use of color and pattern in the designs is very well done. I would recommend these to anyone looking for attractive bowls or looking for a lovely gift.

Lovely ... but I could not bear to keep them... such dizziness 😱
I think it fantastic the designer made each dish unique to the set. I liked these wildly colorful bowls at first. Then I got to thinking how truly dizzying the patterns are. I have been buying a lot of dishes lately to replace some wildly busy plates. Therefore my latest dish purchases have been simple, plain and non-bohemian as made by Sweese, Sweejar and Selamica. It was fun to own the Farielyn bowls a few days (and the big dinner plates and pasta bowls) but I sent them back as I am trying to focus more on cooking more variety and thus needing plainer dishes. If you are needing stylish but super busy dishes ... THESE ARE PERFECT!

Beautiful Bowls!
These bowls are just beautiful! Yes, they are imperfect, but that’s what happens with these kinds of hand painted styles and, in my opinion, makes them unique. I love that there are designs on both the inside and outside, and although those designs are not the same, they are complementary.Anyway, last year we gave up our boring solid gray dishware in favor of colorful Spanish dishware and got some different sets to mix and match. I wouldn’t say that the style of these bowls is distinctly Spanish, but it is along the same lines (no pun intended). I was going to order the six-pack of bigger bowls but realized we have plenty of those, so I purchased these smaller bowls instead. We have Corelle bowls in a similar size that we use all the time, so now we have colorful bowls in that size as well. These bowls are a good size for dips, some fruit or nuts, or a side of rice. They are way too small for cereal or ice cream, unless you’re eating a single scoop, but let’s not kid ourselves here. They aren’t super thin but aren’t thick either, so I hand washed them to start but will just have to ensure careful placement in the top rack of the dishwasher for these. I was going to give away my old, white Corelle bowls when these arrived, but because these bowls feel relatively fragile, I think I will let the kids keep using the Corelle ones until they’re a bit older. All in all, it is a great value for a lovely set of bowls.
