It's plastic and shatters if you drill a hole in it. :(
I didn't realize it was plastic with a "brushed silver" face when I bought it (it's in the description, I just missed it), so don't buy this if you need to use it outside in the elements because the sticky tape alone won't last outside. :(

Exactly What I Wanted
This is a thick, hard plastic sign with an adhesive strip on the back. It is just what we needed and was easy to mount.
