Perfect pillow but strong smell
So the pillow is really soft and a perfect size for a range of people (I'm small and my tall boyfriend loves it the same). It has little beads in it (think beanie baby) that helps it conform to your neck when you use it. The top half that would touch your face is a soft and fuzzy material while the bottom is just a stretchy spandex/nylon material. The snap closure works great for securing it to your neck and isn't difficult to snap or unsnap at all. All in all my boyfriend and I love using it for movies in bed actually. It provides just the perfect amount of support on top of a pillow to totally lay down down and watch a movie in bed. No more stacking pillows for movies all the time! It also works great the same way for playing on my ipad in bed while laying down in the blankets. I have no doubt this will function just as perfectly in long car rides or flights so I look forward to using it everywhere. Now for cons. First one is the smell. When it came out of the package it had a VERY strong new car smell that I absolutely hate. I'm sensitive to smells so it actually made me nauseous whenever I smelled it. I had actually bought two sets. A pair of the black ones for my boyfriend and I and another of the grayish pair for Christmas for my grandparents who have to drive 500 miles whenever they want to visit. I had tried to air the gray ones out in my room for two days before putting them in a big open cardboard box and lighting a scented candle next to them whenever I got the chance because the smell was so strong. Honestly after a week it was only a tiny bit better. The black pair I had left at my boyfriend's house for him to use since the smell was unbearable to me. The smell was still pretty bad for a good two weeks but a month and a half later it's a million times better. I could still smell it faintly but as long as I don't stick my nose in it I don't notice it anymore (and it's not because I got used to the smell). It helped that my boyfriend was actively using them during this time and thereby airing it out a lot better than just letting it sit there. The only other downside to this neck pillow is that it doesn't have a removable cover and really isn't washable. Care instructions are just to spot clean, so if you're taking this to dirty places that's something to consider. I really would give it 5/5 stars if it weren't for the strong smell that is still lingering even after a month and a half. It really is just a new car smell so it might not bother some people but to me even thinking about it is kind of making me gag. Hence the 4 stars. I hope with more use the smell will finally just totally dissipate. Hope this was helpful (albeit long).

Good neck support for long distance traveling
I bought 2 of these pillows for international travel. It is very plush and it feels nice against the skin. There are little beads inside rather than padding or foam. The beads are nice because you can push them to any part of the pillow for more or less cushion. I also like that there is a button snap to close the neck pillow. This is handy especially when you're sleeping as the snap keeps the form of the pillow. A similar pillow that I tried did not have the snap and eventually it lost its shape. It wasn't too big of a deal, but trying to get comfortable in a plane is already more difficult than it should be. Also, the snap makes it easy to fasten the pillow to a piece of luggage while running through the airport to your connecting flight. The only thing I don't like about it is that doesn't have a removable cover to wash. The entire pillow may be washable (i don't know) but if it is, I've refrained from washing it for fear of opening my washer and finding that the seam broke and billions of little beads being stuck everywhere on everything. Maybe that's a personal problem...i don't know, not willing to risk it. Another thing that I noticed is that this pillow retains heat well. For me, I overheat quickly and I woke up on the plane sweating, especially around my neck. Again, this is more of a personal problem.Otherwise, for the right price these are a good investment. My in-laws purchased a couple of these pillows for long distance driving in their RV, why not! Sometimes my wife will use it at work when she desk-locked and has to sit for an extended period, staring at her computer. The price is cheaper now than when I purchased it. During my most recent trip (about 3 weeks ago) I did find similar products being sold at the airport for slightly cheaper than what this seller is selling it for. So shop around, you could find a better deal on or off line, if you're still on the fence.

Good for it's intended purpose, not for doggy post-op care...
So, I bought this pillow for a rather unique reason, and it didn't work for me. However, this pillow was super soft and plushy and would have been excellent for what it was intended for. It molds to your neck in a sense and works wonderful. Since it does what it intended to do, I gave it a full 5 stars. Now, let me warn you not to do what I did with this pillow. My dog got "fixed", and she looked pitiful with that cone around her neck. Plus, she would scratch at it all night and I had a hard time getting any sleep. So, I tried to find a different solution that wouldn't cost me a small fortune, like some of those other cone alternatives do, since she'd only be using it for 2 weeks. So, we thought this might work.As you can probably expect, and as any sane person probably would have suspected, it didn't work. It might have worked if she was a little less long and her neck was a bit bigger, but she's a 40lbs black lab/keeshond mix, and she has a really long body and could easily get around this. Plus, since the side intended to be behind your neck is thicker and bulkier, it would end up under my head (because gravity), and since she's got a long body with short legs, she'd trip over it and would get mad and was about two seconds away from tearing it up when I took it off of her.Thankfully, she was good about minding her stitches are we were able to leave her coneless for most of the healing time with no problems. But yeah. It's a good neck pillow and it'd be great if my dog hadn't covered it in gross dog-ness. :)

Suprisingly light
I had no idea how light this was. Which was great to travel with. The snap lets you clip it to a strap as you go through the airport, as it might not fit in a small bag.I had an 8 or 9 hour flight and this made it more bearable. Comfy around the neck to watch tv, but to sleep with was a bit difficult. It is quite thick in the back of the neck, and with the seats being so straight up, and barely reclining, this kind of forces your head forward, so your head never feels reclined. Later someone suggested to turn it around so the snap end were in back, I think that would help a lot.
