Exactly as advertised. I read a comment that said you can reset the timer by taking out the batteries. Not true. Probably has a bios battery. It remembers the timer set even if batteries are taken out.

If you want to stay away from something until next weekend (i.e. a relatively long time), this is the device for you. It has a range of 10 days. You have the choice, to the precise minute, from one minute to 10 days. The big dial rapidly spins to your chosen length of time, then you press it and that's it. At that point, there's no way to open it without a hammer. If what you're trying to deny yourself is too big to fit inside the kSafe, you padlock the temptation into a cupboard and put the padlock key inside the kSafe. Some versions are transparent, some are opaque; consider whether you want to be able to see whatever is locked away. This is an excellent, well-made, easy-to-operate purchase that has really done me some good.
