Great Product, Great Price
For the price this is a great dial indicator, 15 minutes after I got it, I put it into service. Checking the trueness of my vertical mill vice, see picture. After that checking the chuck on my lathe. I can recommend this dial indicator.

Works great
Bezel fits lose, this isn't coolant/water proof.

When the job has to be done right
I really like this gauge. It works well, easy to read & the long plunger allows you to reach place the standard dial indicator won't. I definitely feel it's a good value for your money.

Not what I ordered.
Seems to be a decent DI but this is not what was pictured. It shows the small hand to be a full sweep and what I got is not.

No surprises. (That’s a good thing)
It seems like with advancements in technology over the years, countries that might have exported junk indicators in the past are able to produce a quality product these days for the same cost.It isn’t surprisingly smooth, but it is smooth, the needle returns solidly to the same place it left from as expected, and the face is easy to read.My other gauges are Mitutoyo and Starrett, the Starrett being a $400 3” travel indicator, and the dial face on this indicator is a more properly fit piece and smoother in action than the Starrett.I haven’t tested whether it can take a shock or not, nor will I. My Mitutoyo lost a few teeth off of one of its gears when accidentally shocked once, so as far as I’m concerned it doesn’t matter how much you spend, you still have to be careful and treat any indicator like the sophisticated technology is really is.I would buy this indicator again.

It's pretty accruate considering the price and the travel
I'm not really sure why I purchased this because I really don't have much of a need for a huge indicator like this one. Does it work? yes is it accruate? pretty much with in about 5 tenths or a half a thou. the movement is a bit sticky for full travel. but what I plan to use it with that isn't an issue. It's a good value for the money if you don't expect consistent .001 accuracy over the full movement. for most automotive or around the house stuff it works fine.

Don't expect Starrett quality but a good value for hobby use
This dial indicator was built to a price point. It will never be a Starrett but it also doesn't cost more than $300 either! It appears to be accurate and consistently returns to zero. My one minor complaint is that the return spring pressure isn't linear. I found that the increasing pressure challenged my magnetic holder.
