Well packaged, in a double re-sealable bag. The color of the flakes is uniform, and the flakes melt uniformly without visually apparent residue or impurities. There are no globs or agglomeration in the package, so it's easy to measure the exact amount needed for a recipe. The flakes are flat, dry, and hard.I've been combining it with beeswax pellets and mineral oil in a double boiler to create some polish for cutting boards, and I am satisfied with results. I use a very small fraction of it vs beeswax, so this will last me ages!The product has a shelf life of 3 years or more, based on the date inscribed to the packaging.
