This is a gripping YA thriller, starting of in the present tense and working its way back through time as each chapter relays another recent event. Every chapter starts of with a date so you can tell its working backwards chronologically - which is great, but I'll admit I was confused at some points.I've read quite a lot of E. Lockharts work and many other books and I can honestly say this is one of my FAVOURITES of the year. Originally chose to read this book specifically because of the author but as soon as I'd read the blurb I couldn't shake the feeling of "I HAVE TO READ THIS" and I'm so glad I did.Hooked from the very first page, I couldn't put it down, I needed to know what happened next so much. The characters are portrayed so well and the story line flows nicely. This read is a total roller coaster and wonderful thriller - highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys YA and is looking for something a little different - you will not be disappointed!

3/5 not E Lockharts best
Well, I bought this book initially as I knew E. Lockhart is a fabulous writer and her stories always draw you in.I will be honest, I struggles with the first part of this book. I think I got 2/3 chapters in and realised I didn't like the writing style so much. The face that it was written backwards, from present to where the story actually started un-nerved me. I couldn't get used to it.The story itself was good, and once I got over my issue with the style I found that I actually really liked the book.I have to say I did not really like Jules as a character and didn't really feel any emotional connection to any of the characters in the book which was a shame. It was very clever how the story was written however I could guess what actually happened to Imogen way before it happened. All in all this was an enjoyable book but I feel it's not one of E. Lockhart's best works.

Couldn’t put it down!
It usually takes me a long time to get through a book, as I don’t tend to make time for them. However, I couldn’t put this one down! Kept me hooked from start to finish and delivered the story in a really original way. Can’t wait to read more from E. Lockhart. The book itself came in pristine condition, can’t fault it. Great place to buy this book from, worth the price and more.

Smart and challenging read. Highly recommend.
Just when I think E Lockhart can't get any smarter, she writes this. I've not found myself challenged by a novel in a long time but this book really had me working to guess its twists and turns. Every time I thought I had it figured out, Lockhart pulled the rug out from under me and I had to keep chasing.

Actually made me angry and a total disappointment due to it being a complete rip off of Patricia Highsmith’s The Talented Mr. Ripley. The characters and plot devices are identical, with only the locations and genders being changed. Telling it in reverse chronology isn’t enough of a distraction to fool the reader. This isn’t a nod to Patricia Highsmith’s book, or even a modern telling, this is a flat out copy.
