If one's desire is to allow his or her device to be waterproof and that is all that matters, then by all means, use this case. However, noting the Galaxy S5 usually already has a bit of water protection, this case makes it difficult to open the bottom flap on the device for access to the USB port. Additionally, the screen protection component of the case is loose, so it does not allow for accurate/ease of screen touches. This will also make the screen fingerprint reading of one's hand unusable. Again, for water proofing, it's well worth it. May want to consider obtaining bluetooth audio devices so the screw in top for the microphone can be covered to increase the water proof capability.

No one has trouble hearing me whenot phone is in the case. It passed the waterproof test. I also have no difficulties using the touch screen.I was concerned after reading many negative reviews. I've come to the conclusion I'm not whiny or picky and that as long as you can read and follow directions this case is perfect.

My son really liked this case but it tore on him, he may have been too ruff with it!

Cheap product. My phone was knocked off my coffee table with in 24 hours of getting it and the case cracked down both sides.

Is it okay to bring this this into the shower without phone getting wet

This case was in fact water proof, however, every time I opened the charger flap, the case cracked around it until eventually the flap fell off causing the case to no longer be water proof.
