Great gels. We cut letters out of them to put in front of the Accmor mini-LEDs on a light-up sign and they worked great. Good solid color, no thin spots, and did not overly diminish the brightness of the lights. With due care, we didn't have any trouble cutting our letters without creating white stress lines - even with scissors. Our sign was easily legible at 100yds at night even though the color tended to get lost at about 50. Next time we use the sign, we might double the thickness of the letters for deeper color at a distance. Overall, the gels were inexpensive, effective, and easy to work with.

I got these purely for the yellow, orange, red filters. I cut them with an exact-o knife (I don't know who ran off with my paper cutter ... ) to fit the screen of my Kindle Paperwhite because at night the PaperWhite turns into a Paper-GREEN! I read my Kindle at night while I am winding down in bed, but it puts on this intense Green-blushish light which the research suggests is the worst for disrupting circadian rhythms and sleep parameters like to time fall asleep, and the restorative quality of sleep. Now my Kindle is 100% perfectly readable at night, no distortion or blurring, and it is a RED light, as far away as I can go on the visible light spectrum from green-blue. Right now I a cutting to fit a yellow or orange filter and attaching velcro strips to the edges to put on my laptop screen at night so I can still get work done, without compromising my sleep. The only thing that you need to know is that these do appear to scratch easily, so be mindful of that. On the upside, at least at the time of my purchase, these are really cheap so worst case if you scratch one up its an easy replacement. Previously I was wearing the UVEX industrial orange glasses at night with my kindle, which also function perfectly well, but I like to read my kindle laying on my side, in which case the glasses dig into my face and negates any enjoyment I have reading. I still use the UVEX for other applications and they are a fantastic product.

These colored lighting gels surprised me for the price. (1) The gels are .014 inches thick, a lot thicker than standard photo gels (2) color consistency is excellent edge-to-edge, (3) They can be cut to slide into any gel holder, such as on the Neewer 660s. (4) They come shipped with a removal protective plastic film on both sides to protect the gels in shipping. (5) They work, without heat damage, with both LED and studio electronic strobes. (6) Recommend a gray background to really highlight the many effects these gels can produce.

These worked really well.Could have used a hair more documentation. I haven't worked with lighting gels in 20 years, and it came as a surprise that there was a film on both sides of each gel. Very easy to miss. That film may be the cause of the warping people are reporting in proximity to modest heat. I got the same warping (which has no effect on the light or color at all) prior to discovering the film and peeling it off. After peeling it the gels performed well and didn't have any further problems.

I work in production and accustomed to professional color correcting gels, but needed deep "theatrical" color gels for our outdoor Halloween lighting, these worked out great. They can easily be cut to size for your lights. Only drawback is they have to be doubled for a deep color which creates more work for this lazy dad. Regarding heat resistant, I wouldn't suggest using them with tungsten lights as I'm sure they're not up to it.

Work as intended. Dope set to mix and match colors and get creative.REVIEWS SAYING THEY ARE CLOUDY ARE FROM USER ERRORI thought they were too initially until I realized there's thin protective film on both sides of each sheet. It's really easy to miss, which probably attributed to the negative and misleading reviews.Once you get them, spend time peeling both sheets off each side and you're golden. Full color saturation, no cloudiness.I'm using these for video, so i'll be shining light through them continuously. I have LED lights, so heat or melting is a non issue. But if you're concerned they will melt, use common sense. If you know your light kicks out some serious heat, these are probably a no go. But that goes for any colored gel.Overall, awesome pickup.

Love these! They work great over a reflector, good color quality, and can be layered for more color options. The price is great too. I just wish they made more colors,I would pick up those too!

You get a nice selection of colors, and quite a few different gels. I noticed a burn mark forming when using some gels that I cut to size to fit my lumecubes. They tend to get hot, but not nearly as hot as bigger lights. I noticed burn marks forming after using for about 10 minutes, the lights didn't even get that hot. I'd be worried about the lights melting the gels and ruining my lights. Would be a nice set for other lights that don't heat up.
