Inspiring Story
"Onward" by Howard Schultz is a compelling narrative that chronicles the remarkable journey of Starbucks, from its humble beginnings to becoming a global powerhouse in the food and beverage industry. The book stands out as Schultz shares his experiences, particularly during the challenging period when he returned as CEO to rescue the company from a downturn. What makes "Onward" particularly gripping is Schultz's emphasis on the pivotal moment when Starbucks faced a crisis, losing its focus on quality coffee, grappling with the 2008 financial crisis, and struggling to launch successful new products. Schultz's laser-focused determination on maintaining and enhancing the quality of Starbucks products is a standout feature, revealing his unwavering commitment to the essence of the brand.A highlight of the book is Schultz's admirable attention to the well-being of Starbucks' employees, referred to as partners. His dedication to creating a positive work environment and fostering a sense of community within the stores is evident throughout the narrative. Additionally, Schultz's strategic initiatives, from introducing new products to enhancing the overall customer experience and loyalty programs, showcase his innovative leadership in steering Starbucks back to success. In summary, "Onward" is a highly recommended read for those interested in business narratives and leadership stories. Schultz's firsthand account offers valuable insights into overcoming challenges, maintaining commitment to quality, and revitalizing a company's identity. The book is not only an engaging recount of Starbucks' history but also a testament to Howard Schultz's visionary leadership and his ability to navigate through turbulent times.

An excellent insight into the mind and processes of Starbucks and its CEO
Really great book! I have a great deal of respect for the company, and Howard Schultz truly gives you an inside glimpse of all that Starbucks went through, as well as his decision making process and mind set throughout the whole ordeal. If you interested in reading about the ups and downs of a company, and how the CEO deals with decisions and his mind set throughout it all, read this book.

Good textbook of business
I like this second book by Starbucks CEO more than the first one, because it describes how Howard Schultz saved Starbucks in a predicament.Ever since I read this book, I started to start a day with a cup of coffee at Starbucks even when I am preoccupied with something. I want a company like Starbucks to continue to thrive.
