Awesome monitor bought it last year till now i have no issues, very good monitor that are height adjustable and displaying 165Hz at a very good size.

I received this product 2 weeks ago and I was genuinely excited about this as it is my first ever gaming monitor. The price is what everyone may call budget price for a gaming monitor but as I am frugal this is a decent amount of money I shelled out at a monitor. Still, I would expect decent performance if not top of the line but no this terrible. I am listing out cons first as there is a lot than pros which everyone should know as other purchasers gave 5-star reviews. it may be that they actually received a significantly good panel than mine or their standards are too low/ not keen on gaming itself.Cons:1. Smearing - It is so bad that it leaves a huge trail of pixels almost like a comet through the sky. whether I scroll through web text, drag a window along the desktop or turn suddenly in fast-paced games, there is so much smear that once you see, you cant unsee it.2. Ghosting & overdrive settings - it is really bad that I can see at least 3 ufo ghosting trails in blur busters ufo test. overdrive doesn't do any good either. whether you set it to either weak or strong, it doesn't improve anything whatsoever3. Adaptive sync and stuttering - when I was playing star wars Jedi fallen order which is a good game for VA panel as it has a lot of contrast-rich and dark scenes, there was heavy stuttering at times which doesn't have to do with performance as I have gtx 1660 super which is very much capable FHD gpu. Problem is that although I am getting steady 90 fps which is perfectly in the range of 48-165hz VRR as advertised by AOC, The stutter is just terrible whether Vsync is on or not4. Mind that this is only MPRT type, not GTG so don't expect great things5. Viewing angles are not perfect but alright. minor con as it is overcome by one of pro's below6. No USB ports whatsoever7. No HDMI 2.0 support. i don't expect HDMI 2.1 anyway at this price point and the targetted consumerPros:Through with cons mentioned above, there are some redeeming things which people may prefer this monitor1. Contrast is really superb and the image depth is truly fantastic. one of the best in the budget and may even beat some mid-tier models as well2. Even though it is not an IPS panel, colours pop out really fantastic. this is me coming from HP & Acer before but others may have different opinions3. Ergonomics of this thing hit a homerun for me. it has everything E V E R Y T T H I N G. Tilt, Lift, Swivel, rotate... you name it. At this price point, Acer did a really good job. remember that Samsung/ BenQ / generic brands don't even give even tilt at 500-600 aed price point that too for a 60 hz normal FHD monitor.
