I am grateful to an Amazon customer for giving me positive feedback on this phone. I decided to go for it and I a hugely satisfied. For me, all the electronic refinements like phone book etc. are things I don't need, things I can do without. Cordless phones also may not be safe on account of the radiation they emit, which can be harmful, if the reports on this are be believed. This phone is perfect for me. Very inexpensive, with all the basic features you expect from a phone It is wall mountable, which is convenient and saves space. There is a slight ridge, which keeps the receiver from slipping off when it is wall mounted. There is a slight ridge on top, when it is wall mounted, on which you can hang the phone temporarily, without disconnecting it. You can change the ringer volume. Or you can switch off the ringer, when you don't want to take calls from telemarketers, or when you want to go to sleep. It does not have caller blocking - to block calls from bothersome people like telemarketeers. However, call-blocking is an advanced feature available only on electronic phones. Very good buy for the price. Some negative points: the booklet says you need to keep the phone in a room where the temperature does not exceed 40 degrees Centigrade or fall below 5 degrees Centigrade. In a place like Delhi, in the height of summer the temperature does exceed 40 degrees centigrade. In winter, it may fall below 5 degrees centigrade. So, what happens when the phone is in fact exposed to those temperatures?
