recommend for indoor and outdoor easy games.
It's Ok. A lot of the games are for 2.5yrs old toddler and above...My 2yrs old exactly can't play some of the games yet. But i can't wait to try them again in few months when she can follow some instructions.. Some of the games are really easy and simple it helps you to think more ideas on your own ..I think it was worth buying this book.

No pictures, long writings
Far too long explanations, that could be explained with a single picture on each page ...My problem is that I have to read the whole page to get the idea of how to play ...A picture would help to know if I even want to read it or not ..I got an other book called: Five minute mum, it has lots of pictures more and similar ideas and the ideas in my opinion are better.

Good little book
Liked it however for older children, not really useful for under 2s.

Nice ideas for over 2’s
Most activities aren’t suitable for under 2’s but there’s some super ideas for older toddlers.

Easy ways to engage toddlers. Child development therapy/Montessori ideas
Our toddler had gone through some behavioral child development therapy sessions in his very early days due to our concerns of his speech and possible learning delays. He graduated after about a year and quickly caught up with where pediatricians and therapists say he "should be" for his age. We had also placed him into the Montessori learning program where they teach you self-sufficiency, discovery, and experimentation. So, why did I share all that? Because many of the activities described in this book by Krissy Bonning-Gould were practiced by the therapists and Montessori teachers, which is a GREAT thing! They were not cheesy activities, in other words!PROS- Lots of simple, easy-to-set-up activities- Covered creativity, experimentation, active play, and exploration- Activity areas with focus on fine motor skills, literacy, memory, spatial perception, observation, pattern recognition, crafts, problem solving, and more- Development milestones that describe what skills the child "should" have at certain ages- Easy-to-read font and layout- Each activity described what skills were being taughtCONS- Some activities do not have illustrations to quickly help you see what it looks like- I am nitpicking here, but it would be nice to have a more compact version (in size) of the book so it can be more easily carried around on trips. Small enough to fit a hand bag/backpack/purseTIP- Toddlers have short attention spans. Prep all activities beforehand and familiarize yourself with the steps before you have the toddler attempt the activityThis book has many excellent activities for use by parents, educators, and therapists, and can quickly and easily be set up at home, work, school, and the outdoors. Some of them were suitable and fun for our toddler while we went camping in Yosemite National Park.Great job putting this book together, Krissy, and THANK YOU for this great reference and idea book! What better way to bond with your child than engage in activities with him or her?If you found this review helpful, please click the "Helpful" button below to encourage me to write more. Thank you!
