The fibers itself will definitely work for african amercan hair, My husband uses this each day on his receding hairline and bald spot and it looks just like his real hair, you just have to use along your natural hairline with a hairline optimizer but a tshirt will do the same to get a straight line

can I use this for xfusion keratin hair fibers to fill in bald spots

I have not used xfusion keratin fibers, I find that Toppik works fantastic and doesn't run, but lasts all day long. You probably can use the Toppik Hairline optimizer with xfusion brand. I apply the fibers to dry hair, lightly spray with hair spray, fluff the hair in place and go about my day. I did try other brands of fibers, but the Toppik brand worked best for me, as it is much finer and doesn't clump. I hope this helps.
