Best indoor umbrella, ever!
This is a big umbrella and that's about it. (Update below, please read on). I got exactly what I paid for. The biggest issue with this P.O.S. umbrella is that it struggles to handle the slightest breezes (5-10 mph and this is not an exaggeration). The tilt mechanism causes it to sway and wobble, such that you can literally see your brand new umbrella failing on day one. It creaks and leans and your thinking it could break at any moment. The tilt mechanism is secured into the pole with tiny little screws. The only way to use this umbrella and not have to babysit it, is to fashion a brace or slide a piece of PVC over the post each time you use it (or make certain there is absolutely no wind in the forecast. I will have to make a brace with u bolts and a few angle irons to use the with any confidence... Save your money.Update:I went to a H depot to get a few brace related items to try and sure this umbrella up. I bought an angle iron, screws, and some heavy duty zip ties. I was planning just to zip tie the angle iron onto the post over the tilt mechanism to keep it from wobbling about (and cut them off after each use). I started to work on the project and a screw fell out of the tilt mechanism. This, at first, was confirmation of my initial one star review. However, I made a discovery when putting a new screw in. This umbrella must be cranked to a very tight tension to put enough compression on the tilt area to sure it. A rope is strung through a pulley at the top and travels down the inside of the post to the crank. So, I stand corrected, and it will not wobble or sway as much if cranked very tight. That said, this is still a lower end product and I expect it to last a season or two. I give it 3 stars for it's size and price. Get a heavy base too - I would add a few sand bags to a standard base.

Great deal
I've had this umbrella for most of the summer now to replace a regular market style umbrella without a tilt. I love how big it is and it seems to be holding up quite well. It only has one tilt position so it's either up or tilted way over to the side. For me it works perfect because in the late afternoon when the sun is going down I need it tilted all the way so I don't need the other positions. Make sure you have a good sturdy base to put it in as it will need it due to its size.

Good coverage but top heavy
We got this for an excellent price. It covers our deck well. Unfortunately it cannot tolerate gusts of wind. Even when the canopy was down and sitting in it's heavy base, the wind blew the umbrella over. Also needed a bit of thread snipping. It seemed like no one bothered to snip the seams after they completed sewing. That was minor. Am sure we will enjoy it very much next deck season on light breezy days.

Good deal
We've had this umbrella for several weeks now. It was shipped very quickly, and arrived promptly, in fine condition. Easy to set up into our existing base. Our base was a little small, so I ended up buying some velcro straps and securing it, since the umbrella is a bit top-heavy, especially when tilted. That did the trick. It's definitely not the highest-quality build...but it was far the least expensive umbrella I looked at. I think it's a very good value. It's a little bigger than our old umbrella, and with the tilt feature (the reason we bought it), we can get shade on most of our deck. Really nice for eating outside in the evening hours, when there is a lower sun angle. Yes, it may fall apart one me, but so far so good, and if we get a couple years out of it, it's well worth it. Bargain price, decent umbrella, does as advertised, I'd buy it again.

Nice Umbrella for the Money
I am very pleased with this umbrella. It is well worth the money I paid, even the $15 for shipping. The umbrella post and the spines are very study. The only complaint that I have is that I worry a little about the long-term wear of the fabric as it is similar to the fabric used for gabardine men's pants. Also, it is well-made but I think a little trim of some kind around the bottom would give the "flaps" a little more weight. They seem to blow up onto the umbrella easily in a little breeze. All in all though, you can't beat this price anywhere for a 10-foot patio umbrella.

I get that this umbrella is not top of the ...
I get that this umbrella is not top of the line I was hoping to get one season out of it but the tubing is so thin that it is flaring out at the chrome joint making it impossible to get up and down. Trying to save it I got a metal file and corrected the flaring problem with the addition of a bunge chord from one of the umbrella spokes stretched to the crank I am able to reduce the wobble during a small breeze.

The cloth part of the umbrella is the best part. Going to try and attach it to ...
The pulley system rope broke within 3 weeks of purchase and the whole shaft of the umbrella was poorly constructed. Every area where the metal parts were, tiny rivets randomly fell out and the entire pole would bend and shift with the wind. The cloth part of the umbrella is the best part. Going to try and attach it to another pole somehow as it finally snapped in half. Not worth the money. Bought one for half the price of this one at Job Lots that's lasted longer.

the hand pulley umbrella works so much better.. gave it a chance and now we ...
we received the second umbrella because the first one did not have proper hardware and literally fell apart. we received the second one and on second time cranking it up the rope split. never again with this style or with a crank. the hand pulley umbrella works so much better..gave it a chance and now we had to drill a hole in top of pole and put a pin in there to hold it up the crank was useless.. oh well. now we know better. sorry but this is the truth. so disappointed .jh
