Great little vacuum.
My old small vacuum died, so I purchased a replacement. The first replacement didn't do anything; it just redistributed the dirt. The second one, an Electrolux, I ordered new and what was shipped was refurbished. The noise extremely loud and when I went from a tiled floor to low pile carpeting the brush stopped working, again I returned this one. Then I found the Bissell. It works great, plenty of suction, light weight, and very maneuverable. My new best friend!

Works well.
Fantastic. Works amazing. Easy to use. Light weight. Takes up very little storage space. Quick charging. Strong pickup. Easy to empty. Good value.

Awesome, but takes awhile to charge.
This thing is great! Very lightweight, easy to maneuver around and under furniture, good suction, and easy to use. The detachable hand vac is just as strong and lightweight and beats the heck out of my B&D Dustbuster. My guess is that this one wasnāt introduced as a whole-house vacuum, but as an electric broom. Cleaned both my hard floors and my carpet I love this thing! I have only given it four stars because it takes quite awhile to charge. Otherwise, it would be a perfect five star rating.

Easily the best vacuum cleaner I ever purchased
Easily the best vacuum cleaner I had ever purchased! It's light weight, so I can carry and clean everywhere, including the stairs. We actually have another excellent Simplicity canister style vacuum that has a motor head and cleans very well. But it is so heavy that over the years I tried to postpone vacuuming as much as possible. This thing is light as a breeze. Intelligently designed. It's mid section disconnects easily and becomes a hand vacuum for those stairs and hard to reach places. Cleaning the filter is very easy too. Makes vacuuming quick and easy (almost a pleasure). Highly recommended, especially for the seniors and those with back problems who don't want to store and carry around heavy vacuums.

Died just outside warranty, Bissell customer service no help
We purchased this vacuum on July 3, 2021. We chose this one because of the reviews, the light weight aspect, the features, and because it was cordless. We also bought into the "helping animals" marketing. On August 31, 2022 it did not turn on. We have maintained the equipment, changed filters, etc as the user manual directed. We have engineered hard wood (vinyl plank) throughout our home. We called the product support line provided by Amazon today, September 10, 2022. First representative- Gathered our information, did some trouble shooting, informed us we were out of guarantee (waranty) and that the best he could do was 20% off a new unit. We would have to pay shipping and there was no option for extended protection. The unit would take 1- 2 weeks to arrive at our home. Total cost would be around $120. We asked him to tell us why we should buy another Bissell if it was going to die right after the warranty period. He just kept reiterating that because we were outside the warranty, he could offer 20% off a new unit. We asked to be transferred to sales based on the assumption that a sales person might be better versed in reliability and if this was a frequent problem. He was pleasant enough, just very script focused. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes. Second representative- Asks for all our information AGAIN and is unable to understand us even when we spelled things out such as "E as in Echo". Getting our address correct took over 5 minutes. We explain that our vacuum died, we had already done troubleshooting, the other rep offered us 20% off a new unit, but that we wanted to know why we should purchase a Bissell product again if it was just going to die right outside warranty. He started looking up other products. He suggested a corded vacuum that was suitable for carpet and also $400! We specified that we were not looking for other products and definitely not spending $400 on a vacuum that wouldn't work for us. He responded "But that has a 2 year guarantee". He then wasted 10 more minutes of our lives reexplaining that our unit was out of warranty (we know) and if we want that one he can offer 20% off (we know) and that we also have to pay for shipping. We asked for a supervisor. Duration of this call segment: 25- 30 mins. Supervisor- We had to wait on hold roughly 5 minutes, so not bad at all for a weekend. The supervisor answers and sounds pissed off. "Who am I speaking to? What is it you want?" They have a non American accent, so we chalk it up to differences in grammar, not rudeness. We were wrong. We very briefly explain the issue. "Our vacuum is just out of warranty and died. We're being offered 20% off a new unit, but we're not sure we want to spend over $100 on a vacuum just to do it again in a year. Is this a common problem? Do your vacuums just make it through the warranty period and then die?" We could hear a small dog loosing it's yappy mind and a young (toddler?) aged child sing shrieking in the background. It was loud enough she was difficult to hear. We missed the first sentence or so and were able to hear "... Warranty was 2 years and expired in March (both these things are untrue) so 20% is a gift!" "No, it was a 1 year warranty and expired in July. Are you looking at the right customer?" *she starts yelling angrily*"I know what I'm doing and you waited 4 months to call. Your warranty expired in March! What do you want?!?" "So we're going to go ahead and take our money to a different company, thanks." We hung up. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes real time, 6 hours yelling, yapping, shriek singing time. We went to look up the corporate address to send a letter and found 4 on Google. We called the customer service line again. I gave my name and said I just wanted to corporate mailing address. Nothing complicated, just the address. She asked to place me on hold, but forgot to mute or actually place me on hold. I could hear her typing furiously for about 5 minutes. She came back and asked "Why you want the address?" "I would like to send them a letter. I have 4 address in different locations and I wanted to make sure I sent it to the correct one. Or sometimes companies have post office boxes or something they prefer customers use." "Well what addresses do you have?" "You... I.... You can't just give me the mailing address?" "No. What addresses do you have?" At this point I got suspicious and said "I have one in South Korea, one in Chicago, and two in Michigan." "Grand Rapids is right." "I have two though, one is 2345 Walker (true) and the other is 1200 Walker (false). Which is correct?" "They both work. Grand Rapids." "Wow... Thanks I guess." and hung up. So customer service can't even get an address right. Overall it was a fantastic vacuum, until it wasn't. Get the extended protection or probably plan on shelling out $100- 200 a year to replace it when it dies a month or two out of warranty. I would not this for anyone on a fixed income as it just adds to your expenses. TL/DR: Works great until the warranty is up. Then doesn't and customer service is useless. Get the extra protection or pay every year.

BEATER BAR OFF SWITCH - VACUUM IS THE BEST .......LOVING IT!
FANTASTIC VACUUM CLEANER! EASY TO USE. GETS IN ALL THE TIGHT SPOTS. THE SUCTION IS AMAZING...IF I GET CLOSE TO A CRUMB IT GOES IN WITHOUT HESITATION. I MAINLY BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE MY TWO RUGS REQUIRE NO BEATER BAR OR IT CAN RUIN THE RUG. I LOVE THE OPTION TO TURN OFF THE BEATER BAR FOR THIS REASON. THE PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. ALSO LOVE THE OPTION TO TAKE OFF THE SMALL VACUUM TO USE ON RUGS IN CAR AND OTHER HARD TO GET TO TINY AREAS. I CALLED AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ASK ABOUT REMOVING THE DIRT CUP. IT WAS NOT EASY FOR ME DUE TO ARTHRITIS IN MY HANDS BUT I GOT IT FIGURED OUT. I ALSO WATCHED SOME YOUTUBE VIDEOS WHICH WERE HELPFUL. SO FAR THIS IS REALLY GOOD. I WAS TOLD NOT TO KEEP IT PLUGGED IN CHARGING WHILE NO INTENDING TO USE BECAUSE IT COULD RUIN THE MOTOR. SO I UNPLUGGED IT AFTER IT WAS FULLY CHARGED AND THE NEXT DAY THERE WAS STILL PLENTY OF JUICE IN IT TO DO THE ENTIRE LIVING AREA. I ALSO LIKE THE LIGHTNESS OF THIS AND YOU CAN PICK IT UP AND MOVE IT AROUND EASILY. ALL AROUND IT IS THE PERFECT FIT FOR MY NEEDS.

The best vacuum! My #1 Amazon Purchase
I order a ton of things from Amazon and this is my #1 favorite purchase! I have had this workhorse cordless vacuum for 2 1/2 years now with no issues. I love everything about it. My house is about 90% laminate flooring and 3 area rugs and I use it for both. The suction is excellent, it is lightweight, it has a swivel head and I love the detachable handheld vacuum feature for quick pick ups. Of course the battery does not last forever. My house is 1700 SF so I can get through 75% of it on one charge. No big deal, I just plug it in to recharge and do the rest later that day or the next. There are some negative reviews on here that the vacuum suddenly just stops working even when it's charged. I called Bissell customer service when that happened to me and they explained how to remove the roller and clean the areas on each side where it connects. Voila! Problem solved. So glad I didn't buy a new one! š³ This only needs to be done once in a while. I have a dog that sheds a lot, and so do I, so I use the vacuum almost daily. It's the best vacuum I have owned!!!

Better than some, but still problematic where it counts
Iāve had this for nearly a year. I wanted to wait to write a review until after the shine wore off. This replaced another stick vacuum that worked great until part of the roller brush head broke and there was no way to replace itāthat was the risk I ran with a no name company, so this time I spent a few more bucks on a name brand. The pros: - it is very easy to switch between the stick and the handheld. I will often pop the handheld ādust busterā off while Iām vacuuming to grab something thatās giving the roller brush head trouble (more in that in a minute) and it is very easy to pop out and back in one handed. - on easy surfaces, and until it fills up or clogs, the suction on the roller brush head is decent. Not stellar, but right off the charger, it does well. - charges relatively quickly. I have a small house (~1100 sq ft) and I can do a quick pass on one full charge, or a couple of rooms very diligently. Takes about an hour to get enough juice back to go anymore. - easy to clean dust cup. It is easy to pop the case off and get the filter out to dump it. Which is good, ācause I have to do that a lot. - the roller brush can be taken all the way out without too much trouble to cut off long hairs or strings that wind around it. It could be a LOT easier, but itās still doable. - it is lightweight, and not very loud. You know youāre vacuuming, but itās nowhere near the scream of the Dyson that used to live here. Cons: - the roller brush head does not do very well on uneven surfaces (like the edge of a low pile rug on a hard floor), or on edges. You have to get it *over* the debrisāso, against walls, for example, be ready to pop the dust buster off. - there are two points where this things clogs on the REGULAR and the only way to know thatās happened is that the roller head starts throwing all the stuff on the floor out behind it as you go. The first is the āneckā that connects the roller brush head to the dust buster body. Itās ridged, so it can curve up from the head into the body of the thing, and I donāt know if the neck is too narrow, the ridges are too deep, the curve is too acute, or the suction just isnāt that great once it gets about half fullābut mine clogs often. And thereās no way to unclog it unless you have something that can fit down into the narrow hole ā I use a pipe cleaner type thing meant to clean bottles. I do hve long hair, and a short haired dog and cat, so the dust bunnies can get epic if Iām not on them, but a dust bunny shouldnāt clog a vacuum IMO. The other part that clogs even more often is the mouth of the dust buster body. Thereās a flexible rubber flap that opens to let dirt in and then flaps closed to keep it from falling back out, but again, if it gets about half full, that flap easily gets wadded up with junk that the vacuum canāt pull in. You are still vacuuming because thereās zero indication itās clogged, but the vacuum is just blowing the dirt out the back and behind you while you walk. - itās got a āquick stopā feature that is probably a safety thing, where if the roller brush feels resistance, the vacuum stops and flashes a red light (why not when it is clogged, for heavens sake?!) this is good if you are regularly vacuuming over people or pets with long hairs, I guess, but otherwise it is just annoying in its fickleness. Sometimes the looped rugs in the bathroom and by the back door trip it up on every.single.pass and sometimes not at all. - once the dust cup is about half full, the suction on the roller brush head drops dramatically. Once you figure this out, and just dump it about every ten minutes, youāll be okayābut thereās no indication itās getting full so you wonāt know it isnāt sucking unless the dirt you are rolling over is highly visible. - the last one of these I had included a charge percentage indicator. I really miss that. This one just flashes red while charging until it flashes green and while running it goes until it flashes red and then for only about two more minutes. - there is no edger attachment. I have a regular dust buster that has a long narrow piece that pulls out of the mouth of it, so thereās no piece to lose, and I wish this thing had something similar, or even a little attachment stuck to the stick handle, to get the corners and edges that the bulky body or roller head canāt manage. Overall, itās about 75% good, for my uses. I have a shark robot vacuum that is probably handling about 50% of the hair, outdoor debris, and dust my country house accumulates at an impressive rate. If I follow behind with this, I get almost everything except the corners and edges. I have to get those with the dust buster. Luckily, I donāt ever really have to use all three at one time, unless Iāve let it go too long.
