Stylish, Reliable, and Affordable – A Perfect Everyday Watch!
I couldn’t be happier with my Sekonda analogue watch! It combines classic design with a modern touch, making it perfect for both casual and formal occasions. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the quality far exceeds expectations for its price point. The watch feels comfortable on the wrist, with a durable strap and clear, easy-to-read dial. The precision of the movement is spot-on—I never have to worry about it losing time. Plus, the battery life is fantastic, meaning I don’t have to fuss over constant replacements. For

No deep dives.
Upside: A particularly good looking timepiece and frankly excellent for the price. Looks as good (in my opinion) as many at multiple £ more. Looks like a dive watch but despite the advertised waterproof claim, not sure that I would risk that. Not a “looks actually cool in the pool” watch. Keeps very good time and not lost any time, in the time so far - a couple of months. Downside: It’s not clear if the watch body - high bright finish - would stand up to rough use. Just look after it. And . . . . . when it first arrived, time date were set. Then it lost a couple of hours over 2 days. On the point of returning it, put back in the nice ish carry case after resetting the time, as a test. Since then has kept accurate time with no loss. Unable to explain that . A gremlin or ghost in the works ? Now works perfectly so, 4 stars because if that hiccup.

Great value, stylish and well worth a punt
So here we have the Sekonda Balearic - just in time for Summer and did I tell you that it goes well with a white and blue fashion ensemble? Sekonda is perhaps one of those brands you might have found in a branch of Ratners back in the 1990s, but the designs and quality are certainly worth talking about. This is my second recent foray into the world of Sekonda - my first purchase being one of the chronograph watches. The Balearic features the quite common non-rotating bezel that you'll find on a lot of watches at this price point but features a simple but eye-catching design and a day/date function. No issues with the second counter being out of alignment and the rubber strap is quite decent, sporty and just right for summer. The strap is lightweight and quite flexible, as well as being quite thick. The watch itself is quite weighty as a budget watch, and the strap being so light almost feels out of place but when worn it just works. If you want a good looking and reliable watch, something that you don't have to worry about too much but that still has the potential to get people asking about it then the Balearic is a good option. You really can't go wrong for the price.

Handsome looking watch
Great price, good looking watch and I loved the blue rubber strap as I didn’t want leather. Had to knock 2 stars off though as the metal spindle fell out of the strap on day 2 of wearing it and was hard to get back on.

Doesn't work in spite of appearances
I love sekonda watches. So I bought this as a birthday come Christmas present for a relative. , I didnt know until the following February that it wasn't working. I brought to the jewellers and got a new battery , it worked for 2 to 3 weeks and again stopped working. I brought to the jewellers and again they tried a new battery . To date, it's currently in for repair and so far I haven't gone back, in addition to the cost of the watch and the cost of batteries, it's turned out to be the dearest watch ever and the person I bought it for only got about one months wear out of it. Very disappointed.

Nice watch
Looks stylish. Like the rubber strap. Hoping as it is a well known make, I will be able to replace the strap when the time comes as unfortunatly this was not the case with the last watch I bought my husband from another company from amazon.

Superb value for money
Easy enough to set-up, despite the lack of instructions - cycle through the hours by manually moving the hands forward (crown fully extended) until you arrive at the correct day of the week (allowing for am or pm of course. Then use the 'crown half out' position to choose the correct date (again allowing for am or pm). As for the pros and cons: the strap length is only just okay for me, but this has involved utilising the last hole for the most comfortable experience. My wrist size is 7 and 5/8 inches, so be aware that you will need another strap if yours is upwards of that. Of course there are plenty of silicone straps online for just £2-3, so it is not a big issue. This particular strap is incredibly soft and flexible, and so it stretches slightly as you flex your wrist, and you'll hardly know that you are wearing a watch. The indentation marks that it will leave on your wrist are however quite prominent; bad in one sense, but the grip that the strap provides does mean you can wear it on a slack setting and the watch still won't easily spin around. Style-wise, I guess every potential buyer will make their own judgement on the different shades of blue (hands, fake bezel, strap) and whether dark-ish blues complement a dark-ish grey dial. I'm slightly on the fence, but the bright silver polishing and white markers distract the eye quite a lot, so on balance, the colour combination seems okay to me. The timekeeping accuracy (Japanese movement) seems perfect over the 24 hours I've had it. All in all, this has been a worthwhile re-connection with a manufacturer I last used in the 1970s. The watch is undoubtedly an incredible bargain when a third or more has been discounted from the usual price. At full price, I would advise to spend a little more and purchase the Casio Duro, which is more classy looking, while still delivering on affordability and the large case size you are probably seeking.
