A great read for those interested in higher consciousness
There is a lot of info out there on the subject of chakras and higher consciousness, but not often from a person with an advanced degree in quantum physics who also has the ability to write in simple terms that the layperson can understand. The author is able to balance scientific perspectives and research with the mystical and ancient concepts in a very grounded way with practical applications. I found the book difficult to put down, and also having some good techniques that I could apply right away. I highly recommend for anyone on a journey into consciousness and spirituality.

Excellent bridge between quantum physics and spirit experience. May be over some head 😂
I don’t really understand the negative reviews left here. I guess some folks know it all already. This book can be dry in its build up of ground work and deep in its technical physics leading to a feeling of it going over your head but when it find me it was the best thing I had found that told a great story and built the bridge to latest quantum physics understanding and the spiritual self and the matrix we can navigate. It’s excellent. Huge win. Thanks for writing.

I had trouble relating to this book no fault of the author. I do not relate well to Eastern philosophy and Yogi. People who do will find this a very interesting read!!

Profound, Empowering & Exciting!
For me "The 8th Chakra" is a profound, convincing, enlightening, empowering, highly exciting revelation! Dr Jude Currivan has beautifully woven together an amazing array of leading edge science and everlasting spiritual wisdom. In her easy to read style, she has revealed the Mysteries that I have always instinctively "known" but could not articulate. Currivan has shown me how the 8th Chakra enables me to access and embody my higher spiritual awareness and, in doing so, she has cracked me open to the incredible recognition of Who I Really Am as a spiritual being having a human experience, and the awesomely co-creative role I have in the Universe! "The 8th Chakra" is a beautiful gift of insight for which I am enormously grateful - and to which I keep returning again and again! To anyone seeking to real-ize their own incredible spiritual and human potential, I highly recommend "The 8th Chakra" together with Currivan's other 2 books, "The Wave" and "The 13th Step".

Really does not address the 8th Chakra At All
This book was very disappointing. This book is primarily about identifying traumas that may have caused repeating patterns in out life but I never got to a portion of this book that I could correlate this to the 8th chakra or what the 8th chakra has to do with it. If you are an energy healer, work with energy flow and manipulation, or are a student of quantum physics you are most likely already aware of where your life-pain originates from and recognized any pattern. The author failed to correlate any of this to the 8th chakra. I came away feeling like this author does not truly understand the 8th chakra which was why I purchased this book. I had a clearer understanding of the 8th chakra BEFORE reading this. Style: The book does not flow. The author also used some of her own made-up terms (like soular) that I found peculiar for someone so educated. There are many made-up terms. These odd words also made me jolt energetically when I would find them peppered throughtout the text. My sense is that they are just not correct nor is the book.

Disappointing
I regret wasting my money on this book. The author offers nothing new or illuminating in The 8th Chakra. Ms. Currivan lightly skims a variety of subjects that one can find covered in much greater depth by numerous other authors and experts. Your interest might be piqued by certain subjects (chakras, crops circles, holograms) but her brief essays are over before there is anything of substance to draw you in. Her twelve steps of the "Journey of the Soular Hero" are nothing more that simple common sense. I would highly recommend Michael Talbot's The Holograph Universe for an in-depth and fascinating read. For Crop circles read Freddy Silva and regarding the power of sound and music read Don Campbell and Jonathan Goldman. There are many splendid books available for those on the path to higher consciousness. I'm sorry that this isn't one of them.

Inviting and Illuminating
Inviting and IlluminatingIf you expect "depth" on the holographic universe, crop circles, and sound and music, then do read other books. If you are interested in the deeper and more challenging question of "what do they all mean?" then I highly recommend this book. Giving us enough information to remind and allow us to reconsider what, indeed, we may already know about the holographic universe, crop circles, and sound and music etc., Currivan's book, by contrast, evocatively brings together these areas of research - inviting a thoughtful reader to do what can only be done, ultimately, on our own. Illumination comes from the juxtaposition. Bring your own substance.

I felt like I needed a doctorate in physics.
If you understand the string theory then this might be the book for you but it was way over my head. I was looking for basic information on the 8th Chakra which was not presented until 3/4 of the way through the book and then I had to read those sections many times. It is not for someone seeking basic information.
