I bought my laptop for almost two years now and experience heat issues in my cpu specially during gaming but after applying this thermal paste temperature during heavy loads are lower even in a room temperature. At idle state there's almost no heat on my laptop and it now cools down faster than before.

re pasted my laptop CPU and GPU. Found temperature drop from 85 deg C to 54 deg C. its working as should be.

I guess my old thermal paste was finally failing, which prompted me to try Arctic MX-4. I'm running a Core i7 980X at stock settings. It's getting a bit old these days, but still good for what I do. Under load (Prime95), it was running at 75-85C or so. After shutting down, removing and cleaning off the heatsink (Corsair sealed water cooler with a 120mm fan/radiator), it is now running in the mid-40s C. That's cool enough to touch, if briefly. Idle temperatures are in the high 20s C. Room temperature, basically. Good stuff!
