I am very surprised. The sound is loud and clear. Easy to use once you familiarize. The reception is better than all my other radios, unbelievable value. Rechargeable is another plus. Will be buying more, for sure !

First, the sound quality on this radio is exceptional for the price. Just excellent. Two very nice speakers, plenty of volume, minimal distortion. So a big plus there. Second, it is well built, solid. Have dropped a few times and no issues. The antenna works OK, you will have to fidget with it sometimes, other times you don't even need to extend it, so it depends on the signal strength and distance of the station, which is normal. I often use the extended antenna as a "prop" stand to support the radio (so it won't fall over if you hit it) and that works great. The various functions seem to all work OK, but I use mainly as a radio. The rotary volume control is another excellent feature. Works very well. There's also an audio/headphone jack which is nice. The one glitch is the power button which is a bit flaky. However, if you center your thumb/finger and push down firmly it usually works fine. Sometimes I have to try 2-3 times, but not too often. For those having worse issues, note that you can also use the clock timer button to turn off the radio (this button works well on mine). You have to press it several times to go through the time settings, but the last one is "off" and turns off the radio. So for those with a real bad power button, this might help. The power off timer is a nice feature by the way. I use the radio at night when going to sleep and this saves battery life. Battery life seems to be around 4-8 hours for me most of the time. Depends on volume level. I bought my first 3 years ago and it is still working fine. Rugged, very solid and well built radio. I have purchased several. The sound quality is so good. Sound is pretty decent for such a small and inexpensive player. I wanted something to play my favorite music from a flash drive and this does the job quite nicely. The instructions could be written better but the player is generally easy to use. For the fm radio, do what the instructions say regarding setting the preset stations as the first thing. I thought at first that It doesn't give you an indicator about charging status but it does. The charging light changes color when it is complete. There is also a timer that allows one to select from 15 minutes to an 4 hours to automatically turn off. I also didn't see that at first. The only thing I haven't found is a way to "shuffle the songs so they play in random order. A late finding. I plugged in my headphones and they work well with this player.

I ordered this little radio/usb gadget after seeing a video review here on amazon. I was looking for a portable usb music player, and in seeing the video, I was impressed with the sound quality. I admit that I was skeptical of putting any faith on audio from an online file, but the price was such that I went ahead and ordered the radio. Wow, am I impressed! This little device pushes out great sound for such a small, inexpensive product. The FM radio works wonderfully, too. This has a very long telescoping antenna that pulls in stations that my boom boxes can't receive. I particularly like the fact that the radio allows direct input of an FM frequency if desired. This way you don't have to rely on the channel search feature to find what may be a marginal signal. Once input, you can move the radio or the antenna until you find the strongest reception. It works great to pull in our funky public radio station that is always promising to improve their signal--and they never have. The radio has a lithium battery that charges through a usb connection. The usb charging port can be selected to be an aux input if desired--a nice feature. I just may buy a couple more of these just to have the ability to hear NPR clearly when I'm in different rooms of the house or out in the garage. Buy this little radio. You won't be disappointed!

The unit keeps turning itself off. If it worked it’s a nice little unit. I ordered a replacement. We’ll see what happens.

I've had this one day so I cannot make comments to the battery life or how long the product lasts, but I can say that for the size and cost of this product, the sound is absolutely AMAZING! Happy with it so far. I plan to use it when at the cottage where internet receiption is spotty and we can't always get a good radio station. We can listen to music on a flash drive.

I love this. I'm traveling and needed music at the places I'm staying and this is perfect!! I carry a small case with USBs I've downloaded music to. It's easy to use. The sound is pretty amazing for such a small device. The battery is lasting much longer than I'd expected. Small and lightweight, take it anywhere!! I may get another to give as a gift to someone who also travels and cannot be without music!!

Tuned quickly, recieves endless number of radio stations. Compact and preformese like much more expensive devices.I like the fact it charges from USB.Battery life are quite short for my opinion this cannot be for emergency use and is the only reason I gave 4 stars because it is a great overall product,friendly to use with many features excellent value for money ! If you dont use it heavily its the best choice.If you want a more compact version,look for a mono one.

Use this on the lake while ice fishing in winter and boating in summer. Good reception.
