They work
It's a big rubber band that connects to your dock lines to help with the tug from the weather and water. This review writes itself. They work. Period. 4 stars because they don't blow my mind. They are thick and they are worth it. They work. I like that my boat doesn't get these violent tugs from the dock like it did before I installed them. Super easy to use.

If you never had them, you won't believe how nice they are

Hard Rubber...not Much if any Shock Absorption.
There are better option than this. The hard rubber does not stretch, the rope does not "sink" into the rubber nor does it stretch (because the rubber is too hard to stretch), and the rubber started to crack after being used for two months (April and May) in New York.

Hefty rubber mooring line snubbers which are minimizing shock loading
Although I’ve been a boater for numerous decades I’ve never tried mooring line snubbers before now. Nylon mooring lines offer considerable elasticity and absorb shock well when they are long enough. Spring lines are typically long enough to provide good shock absorption but oftentimes bow and stern lines are quite short hence much less effective. So I decided to give these a try and they are proving effective. I’m not really sure what the optimal number of wraps is but I decided to use three for now (pictured) which seems to work well.I haven’t been using these snubbers long enough to comment on durability but if they exceed or fall short of reasonable expectations I’ll update this review.

They seem very strong!
Time will tell but so far they are very strong and should hold up well. One of the photos show some sort of "double" but it's not that but I didn't expect that. It's exactly what it looks like in the main photo. One thick rubber band with loops on the end.
