Glide Gear TMP 750 17" Professional Video Camera Tablet Teleprompter 70/30 Beam Splitting Glass with Hard Protective Carry Case

Have used this with phone and DSLR cameras, it works well with a few caveats:- The screws to lock the frame at the correct angle are fiddly and it's easy to accidentally get the hinge screws instead if you haven't used it for a while and forget which one is which.- It's hard to get a phone close enough to the frame, with today's big wide-angle phone cameras that does mean you're forced to use zoom to avoid getting the corners of the frame in view. No issues with a DSLR, the T-track works great for those.- The light exclusion hood is quite stiff and not quite big enough for a DSLR, meaning you often get a gap through which light escapes, making it hard to read the reflection on screen. I think this has gone through a few revisions as other people mention zips, whereas mine has toggle cords for securing it.That said it's one of the cheaper options out there, the glass is good quality with no in-camera reflections and it's solid once assembled with a standard tripod mount. It also comes with a good carry case that has just enough spare space to store a couple of extra cleaning cloths and stow the prompter with a quick release mount attached, making assembling the frame and sorting out the hood the only awkward bits of using it.

Glide Gear TMP 750 ProfessionalI needed a teleprompter for a couple of jobs and chose this one because I needed something that would accommodate an ipad pro and wanted to spend more on something well made. While it does take an ipad pro it is let down badly by the design and quality of engineering.The design isn't well thought out, requiring you to assemble the unit from a lot of individual components and then at the end of the shoot it all has to be broken down into all the individual components to go back in to the case. All of the careful adjusting and setting up has to be repeated each time the unit is assembled.The individual components are badly made and of poor tolerance, anything with a clamp requires significant over tightening to hold in place. The zips are flimsy and don't give any confidence that will last more than a couple of uses. The Velcro surround to the class is already pulling away after one session of testing.One of the other reasons I purchased this item was the hard case. Be aware that the catches barely fasten and could easily allow the contents to fall out.If you can assemble the teleprompter and then leave it set up it will probably last you a while and do an OK job but any of the cheaper £100 teleprompters will do the same job for less than half the money. If you want something you can pack up and take on location for regular use then look somewhere else.I would be returning this but I have had to modify the minimal mounting screw to hold my camera securely as the standard mounting is woeful.I would be happy to discuss the shortcomings the TMP750 has if somebody from Glide Gear would like to get in touch.

Loses a huge two stars due to an amazing fail with the camera attaching screw (YES, singular).All the way to the camera interface, this is pretty impressive for the price point, BUT when it comes to attaching the camera to the plate, the **single**, knurled knob that we are given to attach our camera is wholly, totally inadequate, spectacularly poor. 'Inadequate' doesn't come close.All there is showing above the plate is maybe two thread widths. And this has to secure a camera that could well cost thousand. What on earth were Glide Gear thinking?This has to go to work tomorrow so there's nothing I can do now, but I will be re engineering this in order to get the camera securely fixed on the plate. Seriously, this just needs the standard 1/4 and 3/8th style options given on most camera bases, with adequate space between the head and thread so that TWO screws could slide easily and give a reasonable amount of thread to secure our precious cameras effectively..Try again, Glide Gear, it's a fantastic bit of kit let down dreadfully by a catastrophic, easily fixed engineering fail.

Had to return straight away because the whole camera mount was supposed to attach to the rest of frame through two very small flimsy screws that weren't big enough. How difficult is it to build a sturdy functioning teleprompter with screws that actually fit and secure things?

There are two main issues I had with this teleprompter.1. The cover isn't long enough at the back, so it's difficult to have any kind of camera in there and block out the light completely. You'd probably need to add another towel to improve the situation.2. I tried to use this with the ZV-1 but the frame that holds your iPad/phone is not adjustable. You can't slide it backwards so it will show in your video. You need to zoom in slightly on the ZV-1 or raise the camera slightly, but raise it too much and sides and top of the teleprompter will show.Because of these two reasons I opted to return it and try the more expensive TMP100 model. It looks like the frame is adjustable.There are some good things about this teleprompter. Materials are all high quality and the build is solid. It comes with a travel bag that will make transport and tidying much easier. It's a good product overall, but didn't work for me.

The dimensions of the glass are in portrait! If the glass were 12" by 11" it would accommodate a 17" portable monitor. As it is, the sides are cropped off and there's loads of space at the top. It makes absolutely no sense. every other prompter on the market is in landscape FOR A REASON!

Not totally terrible for the price point, but it really isn't built well enough. I used it with a BMPCC 4K and there's so much play in the construction that your horizon goes off easily. I only bought this as I had used a cheaper model from the same company with my BMPCC 4K and that was sturdy, I expected the same from this but the cheaper one requires less assembly and there for less moving parts means more stability.Too fiddly to build as well. Not very impressed
