Black Willow Bar Soap with Activated Charcoal, Vegan, All Natural with Organic Ingredients, Handmade

I have been trying different natural body safe soaps. I realllly wanted to love this one, the scent is okay, I don't love or hate it but it's pretty strong. The bar is much smaller than some of my other bars, I figure it's still okay since it's better ingredients and it would last awhile. Plus I'm trying to reduce the use of plastics in a lot of my products if I'm able.I bought this to see if it would be a good face and body bar. I'm mainly just using it in my armpits and on my feet since I don't like the film it leaves on my skin. Now everyone's body reacts differently to ingredients and it doesn't mean that it might do this to you. I'm still using it because it was a pricier bar and I do love that it has bentonite clay which is used to detox and purify. I won't buy it again cause I just don't think it works well on my skin since I have to use different soap to get that weird feeling of a residual film off.Based on having better ingredients in their bars I am still willing to give some of their other soaps a try to see if I can find one more suited to me and my skin type.

I have been struggling with adult acne for a while now. I have tried all different types of products. I have used over the counter cleansing or acne treatments, and I have switched to organic homemade cleansing methods. I have tried oil cleansing method, washed with honey, I've treated my face with lemon, used salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide cream, retinol... and the list goes on. Nothing has helped my acne.I read the reviews and figured I would give this bar a try. I use it for my face, chest, and upper back. I try to get a good lather, and let the soap sit on my body for a full minute before I wash it off. Immediately the bar started clearing up my acne. I figured I should give it some time to make sure there were no other adverse reactions.Well I have been using this bar for over two months and I still LOVE it. All the pimples on my face are gone. If I do get a new pimple, it is healed in a day or two without leaving a mark. My old blemishes are slowly disappearing on my face leaving me a very smooth and even skin texture. The bar does not over dry my face and leaves it feeling really clean.To my fellow friends fighting acne; I would like to add that this product works for me, but that does not mean it may work for you. Every person is different, and their chemistry may or may not work with this product. With that being said, sometimes you need to use a new product a few months before you can have a accurate assessment of it's abilities. While looking for what works for you it is important to be patient. Best of luck to ya.UPDATE:This soap is a bit drying when using it in combination with 3 different acne fighting prescription creams and antibiotics. I have switched to a milder cleanser which I love ( Avalon Organics CoQ10 Facial Cleansing Milk -- 8.5 fl oz )! I still buy this soap to use on the rest of my body. It still helps fight acne, which I've had issues with on my back. I only use it on my face on occasions, like traveling since soap bar is easier to get through TSA. I would use this soap again if I wasn't using Retin-A, benzoperoxide wash, Antibiotics, Salicylic acid toner, and Salicylic lotion. All of which are drying to the face. I am acne free, and now slowly reducing the usage of each of these, hopefully going to reduce my products to just one or two items. I like how low maintenance it would be to use one bar for face and body, so here is to hoping I can use this as my sole acne fighter.

I love love love this soap. I have been battling a skin condition for many extremely uncomfortable years. The itching and flare ups have driven me to trying just about everything possible, including seeing the doctor. I have unfortunately had to resort to basically turning myself into a oatmeal ball every night ... lol & I still couldnt get much of any relief. I have been wanting to try a natural soap but just never really researched it much & so the search began. I have tried some that say they are natural and looked promising and still no luck & others that clearly had chemicals & detergents in them but then i found this soap. Got it in, opened it up & immediately showered because I was having a pretty bad flare up & WOW, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I was amazed at how clean i felt compared to regular bar soap & even some other natural soaps & the smell was amazing, not to over powering, and the best part is that the skin irritations i have became smooth & calm almost like my skin was before and most of all NO ITCH! My skin has never felt this soft and smooth , even with the oatmeal paste i have used for years. I am so glad i have found this soap and i look forward to getting more, very very soon. I truly hope that if you're having similar problems or really any skin issues that you try it ... IT IS AMAZING!!!

I found this soap bar after going through the whole proactive/cetaphil/etc. routine trying to battle young adult acne. Turns out I have dry skin that gets reactively oily when soap dries it out more. This soap bar is just the right amount of gentle that it doesn’t dry my skin out completely, and sometimes I can even skip the after shower face lotion!I also get a lot of use out of it, at least a couple of months. You don’t need a heavy lather or to scrub hard, just a small amount and let it sit on your skin for a few minutes.

I love this soap. The smell and the way it leaves my skin soft and fresh after is relaxing. After a hard work out or long hospital shift, it’s great to use to make sure you’re squeaky clean and smelling like it too! I definitely recommend this soap however the only downside about it is, that it runs out fast. Most organic soaps tend to but I found this one in particular melted faster than the other ones I’ve used. I mostly buy my Bar soaps from Greece which are made in the mountains where I’m from. But it definitely doesn’t stop me From buy it. I’ve recently stored it in a soap container so hopeful that helps.
