Do-it Corporation Cast Iron Ladle

I purchased this ladle to melt and pour small batches of fishing sinkers. I use a 30 lb pot to smelt and clean my lead. I then pour muffin ingots that fit into the ladle..When I need some sinkers I place an ingot into the ladle and use the side burner on my grill to melt and pour my sinkers. Leaving some molten lead in the ladle makes the next ingot melt faster. It usually melts by the time I drop and clean up the new sinkers. I find the end of the handle does not get too hot to handle but I wear gloves anyway.Overall a very good product and great for making small batches of sinkers.

Used this to melt some tin/brass ingots for some inlay work. Worked great for this low-melting temp work, was fast and easy to control. I was able to melt a 2"x2" ingot in it easily.

The handle stays cool.

This ladle is great for pouring lead into molds weather making sinkers or lead shot. I looked for a good ladle for many years and this ladle is it !

the size makes it easy to cast 12 ga. balls at 1 1/8 oz. .45 cal at 405 gr. Maybe a little spendy for a cast iron item but worth it to efficiently cast larger items. I'm happy with it.

Works as expected just don’t leave it out in the weather. This is cast iron so it’ll rust easily.

Perfect ladle for casting lead ingots. Raw lead comes out right about a pound and a half whereas closer to a pound and a quarter with certain bullet casting alloys. Handle does not get hot. While I needed to smooth it out just a little bit when I first got it I'm actually very pleased with the overall tool. Definitely worth the money.
