Not What I Hoped (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I LOVE Columbia's Shorty Minx original boot, like bought them 3x over just because they're that awesome in keeping feet dry, comfortable, even when on your feet for 12hr days without inserts. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find them, I'm guessing they have been discontinued, which REALLY stinks. Tried the other versions of the minx shorty and it's just not the same. So, when I found these, they are totally different in appearance, but with the sneaker looking sole I figured they would be comfortable. I had no doubt about their ability to be warm or waterproof. Like all Columbia shoes, you MUST know your foot size, not your shoe size. If you order your shoe size you will be disappointed. I am a straight 10, 9-9.5 in flops, and have bunions so need a soft upper that will be forgiving to my knuckles. In Columbia I'm a 11 (which I would never have thought).Anyways, these boots are so bad. I wanted something like a booty, but I like them loose around my shin. These are like typical up tight boots. The laces are too short without tying them tight like hockey skates. The tongue is sewn to the side of shoe with a gusset, which is typical to keep the water out, but it stops before even passing the ankle. When laced, there was a 1/4" hole straight into my foot, no matter how I tried, it could not be stopped. The upper does have some softness, but it's definitely not stretchy, the foot width is average. I was concerned it would irritate my bunion, but it's possible it would conform with wearing. They seemed sturdy in material. The insole was terrible. I've never had a shoe hurt the soles of my feet, just from trying them on. So I would say there is no padding, they were flat, like $5 tennis shoes.Overall I did not like the styling issues, for my fit/needs there were too many. It was disappointing to have so many flaws, as the other boots by them, I enjoyed very much. I would not recommend these, at least not for larger feet, or for the price I paid, they were subpar.┗(•ˇ_ˇ•)―→"Hey Columbia!! Bring back the Original Omni-heat Minx Shorty!!! PLEASE! I'm begging.."

Don’t hesitate.
Two things first.1. I never write reviews, so this is a big deal.2. I live in Wisconsin, and I’m and avid hiker and dog walker. May I add, I have a arctic dog who LOVES cold and snow adventures.I’m in love with these boots!! I wear them for everything from long hike in the snowy woods, dog park, to running errands. Not only are they cute, but they are SO lightweight and comfortable. It’s now February in WI and we are in the midst of a polar vortex. I walked the dog with my normal socks and my feet didn’t notice the cold (can’t say the same for the rest of me) I slosh around in the snow, puddles and ice, and my feet have never gotten wet. I’ve been though a lot of boots, but these are my number 1. I tried two other top brands last year and my toes always end up cold. I’ll be sad to pack these away come spring, and will probably order a few pairs to stash away in case they ever fall off the market!Do yourself the favor, get these boots!

My Minnesota Boots
I needed boots that could keep my feet and toes warm when I'm standing at the bus stop in subzero temp but also great for walking on ice. It's hard to find a pair that can do both.. These do. The coldest so far at the bus stop was (-25) below wind chill. They're light weight and comfortable like a pair of tennis which was my other criteria. I don't like schlepping around in a big heavy boot when I'm at the grocery store. Good treads for walking on slippery sidewalks and parking lots. I've also walked through snow when I'm trekking to the local outdoor ice skating rink and they worked. I walked in a little slush and they held up. My feet didn't get wet and the boot still looks good - no salt marks. I wear a size 6 and ordered a size 6. They fit perfectly.

Tennies for the snow!
I ordered size 11 to begin with, as my other winter boots are that size (I usually wear a 10 in street shoes), but returned those and was thrilled to find that Amazon carried a10.5. It fits really well! I live in North Dakota, and was looking for something I could use for taking walks in the snow, and these are perfect! They feel like a tennis shoe, but are really warm. And the laces are quick to adjust. I don’t usually give 5 stars, but these are great!

Cute Perfection/protection 👌
I got these shoes just in time for our first snow storm( which wasn’t too bad) so perfecting timing on delivery. i read that the shoe comes a bit snug and to order half a size up. I’m a size 9 and ordered a 9.5. So i half sized it up and they fit perfect! They are very comfortable. I wore them throughout my work shift and they were so comfortable i thought i had gym shoes on. These boots are the true definition of winter boots. Good I’m the snow and the rain. I walked through slush and felt no cold or water seep through. Couldn’t ask for a better winter boot👌👌👌👌 btw so cute i got compliments all day!

Lightweight, comfortable, warm
I wear a size 9, wide feet, high arch and normally size up to a 9.5 for hiking boots but sized up to a 10 to allow for thick socks. I have plenty of room in these. Wore them every day for 5 days on a trip to WY in temps from -7 to 28 degrees. With good socks, my feet were never cold. Wore them with snowshoes on a 5 mile hike and my feet stayed dry and they were comfy the whole time. I did add a $15 drug store insole to give a little more cushion. Would highly recommend for a great all purpose lightweight winter boot that’s cute too!

Worth it!
Really comfortable, is like wearing a sneakers but with the laces, that's my least favorite thing in these shoes, but I guess is cause I'm use to no laces... If you're the type of person who wears very thick socks, you might want to go just half size up since they fit just right the size.. But I do recommend it, your feet are really protected from the cold, I got chilblains and it hasn't flare since wearing those.

perfect for cold winter walks if you don't need a full boot
Man, these are WARM! And I should know ... I live in Wisconsin. I bought these in order to keep walking year-round, or as much as the weather will permit. I wear heavy socks in the winter and in my normal size, these are more snug than I'd like, so size up if you want to wear with wool hiking or heavy ski socks. If you're wearing with normal weight socks, they're fine.

Warm and comfy
I was looking for a pair of hiking boots that are not to heavy but had some warmth, waterproofing and ruggedness to them. These Columbia boots/ shoes seem to fit the bill. My shoe size is typically a 6.5 and I have a very narrow foot so sometimes I need to size down a half size because I find shoes can become too loose for me. But these 6.5 fit a little snug but not in a bad way. I think as time goes on they will mould to my feet.and will have a bit more give. I am hoping that in the colder months I will be able to wear a thicker, warmer sock but as of right now, out of the box, no can do. Today is my first day of wearing them and I went on a 11 km walk and just wore a thin ankle sock and my feet were fine. It was 3 degrees Celsius today so it was quite brisk but my feet were nice and warm. The lining is also super comfy and soft which I like, worked out great for my walk and my future hikes in the coming months here in Canada. But be warned that I do think these boots do run a bit small so you might want to size up especially if you want to wear a bulkier sock.

IN LOVE WITH THOSE SHOES
Columbia brand never disappoints.Make sure you order one size up. They keep warm and are perfect for - degrees. Ideal for winter hikes, snow.Out of the many brands there, this is always a perfect choice. I am very picky with tech shoes, and these are perfect in any conditions.

Best boots!
These are by far the most comfortable boots that I've ever owned. They are so cute - picture doesn't do it justice. They feel light and not a heavy boot but super warm and waterproof. I've worn them for long walks in snow and ice. I really can't say enough about how great these are.

Great investment! Definitely worth the buy!
Absolutely the best pair f winter boots I’ve had in a long time! No thick socks needed, and don’t expect any type of leakage which means no soggy socks ay the end of the day’YAAAAAAY!!! I changed the laces to the no tie laces to ensure slipping on and off is easy because the boot is very fitted from toes to heel. if you’re not trekking on off beaten paths in these, rest assured these will keep your feet snug and in place while ensuring each step is kept dry and warm. A+++
