Just For Men Shampoo In Color, Hair Color for Men with Keratin and Vitamin E for Stronger Hair, Restores Natural Hair Color, Light Brown, H-25, Pack of 3

I'm 44 and started turning gray when I was 25, but it wasn't until a few years ago that it became pretty noticeable and I started using JFM products. It's fast and easy. Some say it permanently stains things, but that's not true. I've overlooked splatters on floor and wall tiles, wood surfaces and countertops before. After sitting for hours, the spots still cleaned up and disappeared. Some spots cleaned up with water, others required a little squirt of cleaner...some wiped right off, others required a little bit of scrubbing. My hair is naturally medium brown in color. I tried the medium brown and it made my hair look very dark brown. I tried light brown and it's ok for winter use, but still darker than my natural color. This one turns the gray to blonde and doesn't darken the brown much. I like it as it looks very natural. It doesn't last as long as I would like it to. When I use the brown shades, it works for 3-4 weeks. This one normally lasts about 2-3 weeks. It also fades more quickly with exposure to sun and chlorine. I'm sure how often you wash your hair will affect it, too. My hair is about 3/4" to 1" long and I wash it daily, shampooing twice. I use a shampoo from the salon that's supposed to be designed to preserve color. I normally use the rubber gloves, but don't put vaseline on my skin along the hairline. I used to put vaseline on my skin when I first started using the product. But, I normally tried to use most of the bottle at once, so it got everywhere. Without vaseline, I just had to scrub my skin with soap along the hairline to get the color off. Without gloves, it gets under my fingernails where it stays for a day unless I take the time to wash it out. I used to treat it as if I had a lot of shampoo in my hair and I scrubbed my head with it. It splattered a lot, so I started using it in the shower. When finished, I could just rinse away all the splatter spots with the shower head. But, I use the product differently now; My hair is short and I only need about half of the bottle. So, I mix about half of it into a seperate bottle and apply it to my hair, then comb it through. I use it in the shower with a mirror to be sure I cover everything. It still splatters a little now and then, but the splatters are normally gone after I shower. Overall, I like the product, I just wish it lasted longer.

I love this stuff — and I’m a woman!! It is perfect if you don’t have a lot of gray or a lot of volume of hair. My hair is medium to dark brown, medium length and pretty thin, definitely fine, and I use the light brown. I have used medium but light is just fine. It is darker than light, for me, over my hair. The process is really easy and doesn’t take long and I feel that it is less harsh than some dyes. And what I love most is that it doesn’t have a reddish tint at all! I don’t want reddish-brown; I want a neutral brunette color and their brown colors are all like that. On the cool side. Love it and have been using for years. !!! You can’t go wrong.

My husband began getting a skunk stripe when he was 36 or so. It developed over time to become wider and whiter. The rest of his hair has gotten lighter and lighter and he is 42. It was really aging his face having all the grey in his beard, hair and side burns so I got him this for Christmas to try out. It was an easy process, just followed the directions. The color transfers to skin though, so don't be too messy. After his shower he appeared to be the person I married in his 20s, very amazing how hair color can change your age. I would say if I could start the whole process again, I would have had him rinse a minute earlier and added more to his sideburns and beard earlier. But, we can still fix the beard to be darker and let the color fade a little before the next time. All in all, the color was exactly like his original hair and it was a very easy process.

I'm 39 years old and in the last 2 to 3 years the gray hairs have become more and more prevalent. I'm a natural blonde and that helped hide the grays somewhat but recently people started noticing and saying things to me about my gray hair. In January '07 I spoke with my barber and he recommended Just for Men Hair Color. I decided to give it a go and was very pleased with the results. He advised me to go one shade lighter than my natural shade. I'm a dirty blond but chose to go with sandy blond which is lighter. Worked out great. I have been using the product since January and no one ever mentions my gray hair anymore. The product only colors the gray and leaves my natural color the same. I keep my hair relatively short and get a cut every 3 weeks. I use the hair color every other cut. It doesn't last the entire 6 weeks but almost does. I wash it daily and that makes it not last quite as long. I'm pleased with the product as it looks very natural and no one ever notices that I even color my hair. I figure for roughly $7 a treatment every 6 weeks it's not big deal. Takes about 10 minutes from opening the box to jumping in the shower to wash it out. So, $7, 10 minutes every 6 weeks and greatly diminished grays is a no-brainer to me. EDIT: Something was definitely wrong with the last 3 pack of H-15 I received. I always leave the product on my hair for 4 1/2 to 5 minutes before washing. At the 2 minute mark, I noticed that my hair looked significantly darker than normal. I thought I was imagining it. At the 2 1/2 minute mark, I panicked and jumped in the shower to wash it out. When I got done, I was mortified. My hair was so dark and fake looking. I didn't want to go out in public. It also stained my skin which it had never done before. I figured it was simply a bad batch. The next time I was due to color, I only kept it on for 2 minutes and it was still way too dark but not quite as bad as the first time. Won't be using the 3rd box. What the heck happened to my super reliable product that I've been using since 2007? I simply want blond hair, not fake looking dark brown hair. Edit #2 05/29/25 I discovered that there were 3 bad batches of the H-15 Dark Blond color. Last September, I received one of them. (See above). JFM sent me replacements and all was good again, until this past weekend. I opened the latest pack that I had gotten from Amazon. Same thing happened again. My hair was way too dark. I am so aggravated. Looks so fake and terrible. I checked the batch number and sure enough, Amazon sent me one of the defective batches from late last summer. Why were these batches not recalled? Last time this happened, it took about 2 1/2 weeks to lighten up to an acceptable tone. It’s been 5 days now. I suppose I’ve got about 12 or 13 more days to go being a dark headed freak. It is very embarrassing. Edit 06/07/25. It's been two weeks since I used the defective batch. My hair is finally looking like the color I intended for it to be. I will definitely check the batch numbers from now on. When you're applying the product, pay special attention to your hair color in the mirror. If it appears to be too dark early on in the application, wash it out immediately.

colour came out correct, as this is not always the case..easy to use, takes a long time to come from USA
