It doesn't work after 1 day
I bought 4 of these virtual pets, thinking the company would send me 4 differently coloured but no, they are all pink, so I can't give it to my son or my nephew. I opened one to test the functions before giving it to a child. The battery didn't work at first, I had to remove the battery component to make it connect, after one night, the screen went blank, complete waste of money. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Don't bother.
It comes with no instructions, and mine kept re setting. Don't waste your money, not a patch on the original Tamagotchi.
