Virbac Allerderm Spot On for Small Dogs Cats under 20 lbs (6 pipettes of 2 ml)

My Vet prescribed this product several years ago and for some reason he said that he could not get it anymore. I just found out that I can order it myself. My senior cat has a bad flea allergy/dermatitis and the only thing that helps is washing him with an antifungal shampoo and using this. With those two things I am able to calm his condition down, and bring him comfort without having to give him steroids, antibiotics, etc...

It's not working for my super itchy cat, at all. I didn't give him the product everyday, as I thought he might need though. He was so itchy and irritated I couldn't get him out from under the bed to administer it. It might work for other pet owners, but I ended up taking my kitty to the vet. This product was the same cost as his exam fee :( Oh well, I tried to do it naturally, but he must have some sort of skin infection or allergy that's too severe for this. We are working on figuring out what's wrong. Vet ended up prescribing antibiotic and prednisone for the itching. She shaved his head to get the fur out of this wound that he scratched raw. That alone relieved him tremendously, at least after we got home, not while getting shaved. She used some type of powder to dry it out after she cleaned it really good she told me. I'm going to try to find that powder because that stuff seemed to help with the itching too...I think I recall her saying it had an anti itch ingredient in it that would help a bit too. I have kitty's who have excessive grooming problems which dries out their fur. Since I have started using this product they have reduced grooming themselves so much and their fur has started to grow back with a wonderful shine.

This product was recommended to me by a holistic veterinarian, and it has done wonders for my Papillon! Her skin problems had gotten to the point that 3 or 4 days after her last bath her coat was oily and it looked like she hadn't been bathed in months, plus she had this HORRIBLE odor! Not just doggy smell, but really rank! I started using it as prescribed, once a week for 4 weeks, then monthly and her coat improved immeasurably. Then I ran out and figured she was doing so well I didn't need to continue it. BAD mistake! She started having the same problems, but this time I knew what to do. I started her back on the Allerderm Spot On and with just 3 applications her coat is again soft and fluffy and she smells so much better! I won't be letting her run out again.

The only thing that has helped my shih tzu's skin! He went from red, irritated and having sores to smooth, pink and healthy skin! It didn't absorb well into my other shih tzu's skin so we stopped using but it has been a lifesaver for my other boy!

I haven't seen this help my dogs scratching. He has horrible allergies and I had hopes this would help alleviate his horrible scratching. It hasn't...not so much...

I use this stuff once a month on my little Yorkie and it really has helped her skin. She used to have extremely dry, flaky skin, almost like cradle cap. After using this for awhile, her skin is now quite nice and pink and normal, with very little flakes. Highly recommend this!
