Q: Does it come with the stand shown in the pictures?

There is no stand in the picture. It comes with all hardware shown to hang it. Its quite sturdy.

Q: Is it just rope or nylon coated rope ?

It’s rope, but we have had it in use 6 months, with my wife using it most days, and no fraying

Q: Does the seat have a high back to rest your head on?

Hi The back of the chair is high enough to rest your neck on, however it does require a throw or a cushion as it can get quite uncomfortable on your neck. With a cushion the chair is super cosy and comfortable. Hope this helps.

Q: Can you wash the cover in washing machine

Hand wash only. Yo be fair if you put it in a machine the strings would likely to become unraveled or tangled and you would probably never get the thing put up right.
